Chapter 8

so I guess that this book will be updated once a month? idk that's that it looks like the schedule will be.

I attempted to wake myself up by wiping my tired eyes. It was supposed to be a good day, but honestly, I feel terrible. What the fuck did I do last night? Where the hell even am I?

I looked around to see a very familiar room. Hell, I guess you can say I used to live in here. The blue walls, the white bedsheets; literally nothing's changed. Nostalgia was coming down on me when the sudden thought came to mind--why am I here in the first place?

I heard the bedroom door open to reveal Rian. I was so confused at this point. Doesn't he have a wife and a child that he doesn't want me knowing much about and vice versa? He gave me a nervous smile. I guess we're both a bit anxious then.

"You're awake." Rian said while closing the door slowly. I guess his and Cass's room is near. I don't know; I haven't been here in a while.

"Um, yeah. I am..." I clench my head again, trying to wonder how I got here. I guess I didn't even have to ask because Rian was already giving me the story.

"You tried a move on Zack, he was way too fond of it, things got weird and you were drunk out of your mind. There was no way you were going back home like that, so I brought you here." Rian skimmed through the story. At first, I contently sighed because I at least know how I got here, but then it hit me.

"I what?" I ask out of shock. Did I really try do do something with my boss? This isn't good.

"Yeah, you guys were dancing and things got intense. Both of you, like I said, were drunk out of your minds. Luckily I called up Zack's boyfriend and he was able to take him home." Rian explained.

Zack's boyfriend? It's probably Mr. Fuentes. Or he has a secret boyfriend like most teachers do. Who knows?

"Oh, well...that's good." I commented, "I guess I'll head out now. Everyone's probably asl-"

"Rian?" I heard Cass's voice from the door. I was expecting Rian to panic, but he didn't. Cass walked right in with a bright smile on her face and her hair perfectly did like she didn't even sleep last night.

"Hey babe, I was just talking to Jack about last night." Rian said quickly. Cass looked at me and smiled. I remember when her and Rian first got married; it was the cutest thing. That was back when she thought I was Rian's roommate because I was always over here.

"Jack! Nice to see you again. I made breakfast for you guys if you're hungry." She said while still smiling.

"Oh, um, thanks. I'll get to it later." I replied awkwardly.

"I gotta watch over Rose, so I'll be in me and Rian's room if you need me." Cass said while waving and walking back out. I always get nervous around her. She's such a sweet person and both me and Rian are the total opposite.

"Okay," Both me and Rian shouted in unison. I game him a smile. Cass really is a sweetheart. She made me breakfast and doesn't even know it's my birthday.

"Well, I'll go eat then leave you guys alone." I said while getting out of bed. I slept on top of the covers, so there was nothing to clean besides straightening up the pillows and fixing the duvet a bit.

"Wait! Hold up," Rian shouted before I walked out of the room. I paused and turned around to him.

"Happy birthday." He said while smiling and giving me and awkward hi-five. I was confused at first, than realised he handed me a $50 bill.

"Dude, thanks," I said while holding the bill to my face. It's not I haven't seen this much money in a while, considering my job, but I haven't seen one in a while.

"No problem, tell Zack to take care of the place for me, alright?" Rian asked.

"I'll remind him." I said while smiling again. He went off into him and Cass's room while I went off to the kitchen.

"Jack, hurry up and open the present! The movies start in fifteen minutes!" Tony rushed me.

"I'm opening it! Calm down," I said while finally getting the mounds of wrapping paper off.

Kellin and Tony surprised me by bringing a wagon full of presents to my door. Literally, they hauled the presents in a red wagon. They also surprised me with tickets to go see some movie. They wouldn't tell me which one though, which means it's either something I've always wanted to see, or something I never wanted to see.

After I was able to get the wrapper off, I was confused at what was in my face, then I turned the box around and noticed what it was. I almost--just almost--squealed like a pig.

"Holy shit, a bass guitar!" I exclaimed while hugging the box. I'll open it when we get back from the movies.

"Told you he'd like it?" Kellin told Tony. He was right. I've always wanted a bass guitar. I already had so many guitars, I was starting to get bored of them.

"Whatever," Tony mumbled, "Let's head to the movies already."

"Okay," I replied while picking the paper up. I wasn't going to just leave it around, that's trashy. After I cleaned up, we went off to the movies.

Today was actually really good so far. I'm not really a fan of celebrating birthdays, considering what happened on my 15th birthday, but no one seems to get that. Only two people knew what happened on that day, one of them being Rian. I'm not really open about it, but long story short, it's the reason I never really liked celebrating my birthday.

"Jack?" Kellin waved his hand in my face. I guess I got lost in my thoughts.

"Oh, sorry. Let's go." I said while walking out.

"Yeah. Here's your ticket by the way." Tony said while handing me my ticket. I looked down at it to see what movie we're seeing and rolled my eyes.

"You guys could've at least picked a better movie than Batman v Superman."

"No we couldn't." They said in unison and went to the car. I sighed and got in. I guess I should appreciate the fact that they actually did something this year.

Ik ik this is like, really short but I needed to post something. this is more like part one though. Part 'two' will actually have an appearance from Zack lmao.

also, I've been talking about this for months but I think I'm ready to start posting the new merrikat fic I've been working on. I might show the description in the next chapter?
