Running Away-Travlyn

Another Update...I know, I'm sorry (A/N)

-takes a deep breath-

(A little rant warning, but important stuff and some sneak peeks of what's going on)

Updates/Life Talk:
Okay, so I just returned from my week of "Horrible Wifi but Beautiful Scenery Land" vacation, aka China.

(No offense to people living in China, I'm Chinese too. Just saying, the wifi sucks, at least, wherever I went it sucked.)

Three more days until I return back to the US, and school will be starting shortly after that. China has not helped my creator's block (Musical motivation, art, and writing), and stuff is getting more and more hectic. Time flies by so fast, and I want to thank you all for putting up with all this and for the support.

The Cliché Thank-You Section:
Cliché, I know, but I sincerely thank you for all your support. I was thinking not too long ago that I should do a 2K reads and almost 100 votes special. Now, I have double the reads with 4K and almost 200 votes. Seriously guys, I can't even keep up. This amazing, and even one comment keeps me motivated and DETERMINED (no, that is not an error in typing). It really keeps me going, even through typing on an iPad at 2:34 AM, with writers block and previously suffering terrible connection.

Story Talk and Problem Rant:
Currently, I am deciding on whether or not I want to end this story early, or if I want to drag it and build up more anticipation before ending it too soon. It is starting to get a little draggy, and I'm running out of fresh ideas. The ending scenes are pretty much planned, but I don't want to drag it to the point where it's boring. This was never originally intended to be long, but I don't want to make it seem too short either. Let me know what you think in the comments.

If you guys are just asking why don't I pre-write it, it's because I usually just write whatever is on my mind last minute, no editing whatsoever, with all revising done as I'm coming up with it. I know it's not very neat or professional of me, but that's truly how I write, and why writer's block is usually such a big problem for me. Naturally, I don't edit, because when I do, it's usually fixing word choice and spacing rather than grammar and spelling, since grammar and spelling isn't usually a problem for me.

Anyway, enough ranting about my issues as an author. I want to talk specifically about the genre of this story. Sure, it could be classified as General fanfiction, but I don't think it's comparable with other amazing fanfics out there. I've always been better at coming up with stories around a theory, either mine, or someone else's. I have always been better at interweaving plots with the original (seen in this story as the flashback after Katelyn meets Travis in Season 2). As you can see, it's more of a theory-based fanfiction. Although probably not accurate, the theory behind it is more of an excuse to add travlyn into MCD. Even though the theory is probably far from true and only for the development of the storyline, it does explain why Katelyn gets seasick and why she's so rough around Travis. It's more of an alternate fictional storyline parallel to MCD's storyline, except it's what Katelyn went though around the same time Aphmau was in Phoenix Drop.

(I have no idea if this makes sense XD)

I just said the same thing in five hundred different ways.....um.... Anyway, as I was saying, everything that happens in the flashback is all taking place during the first half of Season 1. I would say from about Slightly Before MCD S1 Ep1 to MCD S1 Ep30-40ish. Again, just an estimate. This is just what could've and I emphasize could've been going on around the same time we see Aphmau doing stuff. So, I guess this is more of a headcanon-type thing, or just general fanfiction. So yeah, I like to identify it as something other than AU fanfiction, cause unlike stories where the plot has nothing to do with the series, this is very intertwined with the original plot of Minecraft Diaries. This is also why I identify myself as and MCD fanfiction writer and not an Aphmau fandom writer. Again, this might just be useless, but I thought I needed to say it. You are entitled to your own opinion, so tell me what you think in the comments.

(This was just a bunch of nerd ranting. I apologize.)

So tell me whether or not you want to see more of these types of more serious fanfics, or if you want to see some more MyStreet-style fanfics that are more modern day. I honestly don't see a lot of fanfictions similar to my style, if you have any to recommend, please be sure to do so and leave your thoughts down below!

Sequel Talk:
Yes, there is going to be a sequel, probably not for a long time though, we'll see how it happens. The sequel will be continuing the storyline, but there isn't much romance, it is just a continuation. I don't want to spoil it too much and I don't want to spoil the end of this book either. Just know that the end to this book is coming soon, and both these books will be dramas with plot twists and romance twists.
