(A/N: Since I did the first three chapters in Katelyn's POV ((Prologue not included)), I decided to do the next three chapters in Travis's POV.)

Travis's POV:

Mom had just vanished overnight, leaving a note for me to take care of myself while she was gone. At the time, I didn't understand why she was like that, but even at a young age, I could tell she was preoccupied, even though I didn't fully realize how fatal it was for her at that time.

The Demon Warlock's power was getting stronger, even though at the time when I was still a child, my mother had never told me of my father's identity. Only before her final fight with him, right before her sacrifice to seal him off, did she finally tell me. As I witnessed her struggling to finish what she had started, I stood there, feeling guilty, but there was nothing I could do to aid my mother in her final moments.

Even though I wasn't with her during her final moments defeating the Demon Warlock, I could sense a change in his power. Everything was out of balanced, and new ships were constantly mysteriously arriving into the docks. Occasionally, there would be wild storms caused by the constant battling, and still, I had no way of helping. The village was overwhelming with victims from the cursed sea, and supplies were running low. Not knowing any other way I could help, I came out of the house and walked to the docks, curious to see who had arrived.

People stared at me like they usually did, because for some reason, they knew my mom had some connection with the Demon Warlock. We were looked upon like outcasts because of that, and even then my mother was the one who saved and protected everyone, though no one admitted it.

As I offered to help, people turned me away and asked me, "Aren't you the one who caused all this? How could you even help?"

Feeling rejected, I realized my mom was right. I should just stay at home and not interfere with anything, no one would accept any help anyway. I ran away from the docks, pushing people out of my way as I ran. I didn't have the heart to meet anyone in the face, so I looked down as I ran, not paying attention to where I went.

Suddenly, a girl with bright ice blue hair bumped into me. Or she bumped into me.

"Get out of my way!" she yelled, but she was scared, like I was, scared that people would talk to her.

"It's fine, I won't do anything, calm down," I said, trying to calm her down. "Aren't you from one of the ships?"
