My mom carefully read over the waver. It took about ten minutes until she finally clicked the silver pen open and signed her name on the correct line, writing in the date as well. She pulled her glasses off her nose and set them on top of her head and handed me the piece of paper.
I smiled taking the paper from her and practically jumping in excitement, fast-walking back over to my backpack so I don't forget to bring it tomorrow (not like I could forget something as important as this).
I quickly ran upstairs, dialing Armins number as I entered my small, green room. I sat on my bed that was shoved up against the left wall as I listened to the low rumble of the ring, waiting for Armin to pick up.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Armin!" I said, trying to hide my excitement.
"Hey, Eren! What's up?"
"Well..." I trailed off the end.
"Did she sign it?" I could hear the eagerness in his voice.
I stood up and mischeviously grinned. "Yep."
"Yay!!!" He yelled. Joy filling both of us to the brim and exploding out of me making me jump up and down like a fangirling teenager.
"So when are you gonna tryout?" Armin asked once we settled down a little.
"Tomorrow," I sat back down, collapsing onto my back. I propped my head up on my arm and looked up at the white ceiling of my new room.
"Hey, so, to celebrate you making the team, do you want to go see a movie with Mikasa, Marco, and I?" I chuckled a little at how much faith Armin has in me.
"Well, sure! If I make the team..."
"Have you been lying to me?" I raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"Uh... No..."
"Well, if you really were the star diver on your last team, then, why do you have so much doubt that you'll make the team? It really isn't that hard. I mean I made it didn't I?" Armin said.
"Well... I don't know. I guess when I watched you guys practice, it made me think that I might not be good enough just because my old team doesn't even begin to measure up to how hard you guys work." I explained and I heard a sigh from the other line.
"Eren, I think that even though we train harder, it doesn't mean the standards for making the team is any higher than your old schools'."
"That's true..."
"And if you don't make it this year (doubtful)," a small smile drew itself across my face and I chuckled a little, "then, there's always next year and I can help you!"
"Thanks, Armin."
"No problem." He said finally and once he hung up I felt a lot better. Talking to Armin always made me feel more at ease. He had a knack for comforting people.
After a while, I decided to get up and change into my pajamas because it was 10:00 at night and I wanted to get some sleep for tomorrow. I changed, brushed my teeth, and headed back through the hall to my room. I pulled the string on my ceiling fan, turning the light off and leaving the fan on the lowest speed. Even though it was fall and it was hella cold outside, I can't sleep without the calming hum of the fan spinning above my head.
I laid down on my bed, pulling the black, blue, and gray covers over me and slowly drifting off to sleep.

The slamming of the lockers snapped me out of my day dreaming and I continued walking through the boys locker room until someone slapped their hand onto my shoulder. Startled, I turned around.
