The New Experience

*Hey guys! So I took that little thing out that we won't speak of because it was really awkward for me to read it so I hope you enjoy this chapter a lot better! :)

We went back to doing our synchro after team practice was over and we were discussing form. Levi was talking about how form is important and if we don't have the same then it won't be as polished and technique and yotta, yotta, yotta. Anyways, I really didn't see what the big deal was, there was still two weeks until competition and we're already pretty polished. There's just some things we need to work on...

"Eren, are you listening to me?" Levi scolds and I snap my head back to him from the spot on the ground I was unconsciously staring at.

"Yeah, totally, form, technique, yeah! Got it!" I smiled and he gave me a grim stare in return. He turned around and headed to the ladder and I followed him.

"If you heard everything I said then why don't you go up there and show me exactly what I just said." He gestured up the ladder and I must have looked confused and worried because his smug little self grew a smirk on that face of his.

I nervously chuckled and, while avoiding eye contact, said, "you should probably repeat what you just said."

"Tch," he just barely smiled and leaned against the ladder with his arms crossed, "really, the only important thing I said was about arms. Which, you need to work on, Jaeger." He pushed off the ladder and walked towards me.

By the time his feet were stationary he was leaning toward me and his face was so close to mine that I could feel his breath on me. "Go through the routine." He ordered sternly and I nodded while going over to the ladder when he stopped me. "Uh-uh. Here."

"Here?" He nodded. "But, like, how? We're on the ground."

"Mark it, isn't that obvious?"

I looked at him in confusion for a minute. All the while he stared at me, expectantly and I eventually figured it out. I started going through the motions and when it comes to the twist to flip transition, Levi grabs my arms assertively says, "stop." I freeze and, with his hands still on my arms, he slowly guided them through the motions, silently instructing how to do the snapping motion correctly.

There was this feeling that I felt that was not familiar to me. It was a warmth that was tugging at my heart and a weight that was comfortably sitting at the bottom of my stomach. A tinge of red tinted my cheek and Levi obviously noticed as he withdrew his hands, making my heart cold from the sudden absence of the warmth. It made me a little sad, like I was losing something but it was just a touch, this is ridiculous. We're synchro partners it's nothing, he's just helping me. I thought.

Levi gestured toward the ladder and we continued practice as usual. At the end, we both headed back to the locker room in a comfortable silence. I looked at the clock and had notice that our practice had ran an hour and a half after regular practice which means that it was now 6:30 and I had to get home to have dinner and study for that stupid history test tomorrow.

When we were both packed up and ready to leave to go home, Levi speaks up and hesitantly says, "have a good night, Eren." And the level of shock I felt in that moment was almost unreal. My eyes widened and I dropped my stuff (accidentally, I'm not a drama queen like that). Levi quickly turned back around when he heard the thud. He looked a little concerned. "What?" He asked.

I chuckled a little, still as a rock and then said, slowly, "my name... you never use my first name. You never use anyone's first name as a matter-of-fact. I'm just surprised is all."

He seemed a little surprised at himself, but jut for a moment, until he turned back around, waving. "Tch, whatever. Just have a good night." He walked out of the locker room to his car and I was left alone, thinking about things that really did not need to be thought about and especially not that in depth.

****I literally wrote this chapter at like 11pm on a school bus but I hope it isn't bad (even though when I'm not tired, it's still bad) anyways thank you for supporting me and my story! <3
