The Date

"So where are we going?" I asked excitedly, bouncing in my seat. We were in his black Land Rover and the music was playing softly in the background. His music that he likes to listen to, of course, but I've grown to like it as well. I didn't mind it.

"Just be patient, would yuh?" He said, still focused on the road. He drove with one hand on the wheel and the other arm on the center console. He looked relaxed and then grew a wild blush and almost swerved out of the lane when I kissed him on the cheek. "Don't distract the driver, brat!" He held his chest from the recent scare, as did I. When I relaxed I chuckled.

"I didn't know that I was so distracting." I said with a smug smirk on my face and all he did was 'tch' in response, earning an eye roll from me. "No, but seriously, where are we going?"

"What did I just tell you? Let it be a surprise." I whimpered in complaint but, nonetheless, dropped it and sat back in my seat to watch the road that seemed to be engulfed by the car. I crossed my arms and huffed.

A mischievous smile grew on my face and I pulled my fully charged phone out of my pocket and started messing around with the sound system of the car. Levi looked at me curiously but decided to ignore it, rolling his eyes and shaking his head while chuckling, probably amused of my behavior that mimicked a 5 year old's. I pressed a couple buttons here and there and then, when I finally figured it all out, I sunk my phone with the sound system via Bluetooth and Levi's eyes widened, realizing what I was doing.

"No, Jaeger, not that shit. Oh, please tell me you're not-"

"Yup, you betcha!" I said giddily and started playing some mild hip hop music because last time's selection was too hardcore and 'wretchedly ear-breaking' as Levi had said. One specific song played from my playlist that I rapped along with, which made Levi laugh, as every time it said 'my chick' I would nudge Levi, which he seemed to think was funny with the context of the song. I thought it was pretty comical as well, being that the song was called 'My Chick Bad'. I messed around on my phone for a little longer, trying to plan out all the songs we were gonna listen to on the way there, but then I looked up.

Skyscrapers that seemed to never end and a big, bustling city that had a never ending amount of cars and car horns that accompanied them. We had gone into the city of Seattle and it was now that time of day that's in between afternoon and sunset. It was about a 45 minute drive from the town that we lived in and those 45 minutes seemed to go by like it was only 5.

"What are we doing here?" I asked in amazement, never taking my eyes off of the city. I got no response from Levi who looked at me in adoration, continuing the drive to the unknown destination.

I was hypnotized by the beauty of the city and I didn't even notice that we were there until the car lurched to a stop, shoving me forward a little in my seat.

"Here," Levi stated simply, fluidly unbuckling his seatbelt and hopping out of the car. Apparently, I was too slow because before I could even reach over to place my hand on the door handle, the handsome black-haired boy opened the door, reaching a hand out in front of him to offer it to me. He helped me out of the car as I giggled, grabbing my phone and letting go of his hand.

"What a gentleman," I smiled and he rolled his eyes, smirking.

"What do you think?" he asked, looking a little nervous, and I looked up at the enormous structure that towered over us, illuminated by lights. It resembled the London Eye but was not near as big. It was still huge, though.

"I'm so excited!" I exclaimed, grabbing his hand and running across the street, him flinching with his eyes wide as we almost ran in front of a couple cars.
