The Movies

"OH MY GOD! CONGRATULATIONS! I KNEW YOU COULD DO IT!" Armin yelled through the phone causing me to hold it a little bit away from my ear. Once he was done I pulled the phone back to my head.

"Thanks, Armin!" I chuckled.

"So..." He says like he's asking a question and I raise a brow.

"What?" I asked confused.

"Have you forgotten already?" I suddenly panicked. Was there something important I was supposed to remember?

"Uh..."

"Oh, it's no big deal!" He chuckles through the phone and you could almost hear me relax which, in turn, makes him chuckle a little more. "How would you like to go to a movie with Mikasa, Jean, and I?"

"Oh, yeah, sure! What movie?"

"I think we were deciding between Suicide Squad and Jason Bourne."

"Well, either is fine with me," I shrug, "When were you planning on going?"

"Tomorrow," he states and I nodded my head even though he couldn't see it.

"Alright, I'll be there." I smiled and ended the phone call.

Excited for tomorrow, I plopped onto my bed and covered myself with my comforter, instantly feeling warmer. I fall asleep to the small breeze created by the fan that produced a low hum.

*CLICK*

The car locks as I step up onto the concrete. My black leather boots tapped on the concrete. A small breeze swiped its fingers through my brown hair and lifted the sides of my leather jacket a little. My navy blue t-shirt swayed a little as I walked.

I saw Armin standing in front of the movie theater door and I stuck my hand above my head and started to wave. He looked up from his phone and smiled, starting to wave back to me.

"Where's Jean and Mikasa?" I looked around and they were no where to be seen.

"I don't know... I think they're just going to be late?"

"Maybe." I stated, still looking around until I see a red Toyota Prius and a blue Chevrolet Silverado roll into the parking lot. I see out of the corner of my eye that Armin is waving at them and I assumed that was Jean and Mika.

Once they were out of their cars and inside with us we all discussed which movie to see. It was a tough decision; Armin and Mikasa wanting to see Jason Bourne and Jean and I wanting to see Suicide Squad. After a while, of a back and forth conversation and the box office worker giving us weird looks that said "HURRY UP", Armin finally said that they should pick whatever movie I want because we were celebrating me making the team. A remark to which I insisted that it didn't feel right to be the one to make the decision but Armin insisted.

Once we payed for our tickets and snacks we walked into the theater that had a marquee that read "Suicide Squad". I settled on some sour patch kids while everyone else had different types of Dip 'n Dots.

We sat down in the black cushioned seats as the previews for different movies played. I scanned the theater, seeing if anyone I recognized was there because this was a fairly local theater. It was located in a town that was only like 25 minutes away from the town I lived in.

I looked over the crowd until my eyes settled on a small, black haired figure. I recognized him, he looked familiar but I couldn't exactly put my finger on it. It was pretty dark already but what I could make out was that he was with a girl with her hair up in a ponytail and glasses and a guy with blonde hair and an undercut like the raven haired guy. I shrugged, not thinking much of it.

The lights darkened as the movie began to play.

"That was... Wow." I said as we walked out of the theater. It was a good movie, don't get me wrong it's just, it didn't live up to the hype at all. It was kind of dull to me, not much of a plot.

"Agreed." Mikasa sighed, a little disappointment in her voice. She seemed to be thinking over the movie as if she were expected to give a big movie review on it.

"I'm sorry you guys. I told you that I shouldn't've been the one to pick the movie!" I felt guilty. I knew that the quality of the movie wasn't my fault but the choice of movie was and I had heard so much more good things about Jason Bourne than Suicide Squad.

"Why? It's not your fault the movie was..."

"THAT WAS AWESOME!" We all turned to see a girl with big glasses and brown hair up in a ponytail. I recognized her from before the movie started. "LEVI! DID YOU SEE WHEN HARLEY QUINN TOTALLY KICKED ASS IN THAT ELEVATOR! OR, OR WHEN THE JOKER TOTALLY BROKE INTO THE JAIL TO COME AND GET HER? I SWEAR THEY'RE LIKE MY OTP NOW!" She continued as I examined the boy next to her she addressed as "Levi".

Black hair... Threatening looking... Gray eyes... Short... It's ringing a crappy Christmas ornament bell that pretty much has no ring at all. I can't exactly put my finger on who that is.

"No way, that's captain Levi." Armin stood next to me. I turned my head to look at him but all I could see was him walking in front of me and at the same time Mikasa and Jean turning around, walking out of sight. Looking back at Armin, I saw him walking towards this Levi guy who turned to look at Armin who was waving at him like they were best friends and maybe they were.

Suddenly, I felt a warm feeling in my stomach. Sort of like deja vu but it was more remembrance. I remembered who that guy was! That was the guy who threatened me in the locker room. Or more like he told me to make a decision but everything about it seemed threatening so, in remembrance of that little memory, I started to turn when I heard a small voice of a certain blonde guy call my name.

"Hey, Eren! Come over here and meet the captain!" Armin yelled with a smile and god knows I couldn't resist that kawaii smile of his. Instead of going towards Mikasa and Jean I headed towards Armin and Levi. Every step I took I felt a little more nervous. When I was almost there, I could feel little droplets of sweat forming under my hairline of my forehead. "Eren, this is Levi, captain of the dive team. Levi, this is Eren, a new recruit as of yesterday." I held out my hand to shake but he 'tch'-ed and I felt a tinge of anger poke at the walls of my stomach.

I quickly retreated my hand and said "it's nice to meet you." With a little coldness in my tone. He apparently picked up on the small amount of ice in my voice and he glared even more than he already was.

"Whatever." He said like I was some type of villain and now it was my turn to 'tch' and I turned to walk away when Armin snatched my hand.

"Sorry, am I missing something?" Armin asked with confusion.

"I, honestly, didn't do anything. This jerk just decided to be a... A jerk to me and I have no idea why."

"Oh I see. Is there a reason, Le-" he was gone. When Armin and I turned we saw nothing but air. All 3 of them had gone, disappeared and I furrowed my brow in confusion. But I quickly shrugged the confusion away and started to walk in the direction that Kasa and Jean went. Armin quickly followed.

I hate that Levi guy already. I just hope he doesn't ruin my diving season or I'll ruin him.
