Chapter 3: Black Dragons

Shortly after entering the black void we came to a barely lit room it's only source seeming to be a few torches. What do they not have electricity? I thought to myself.

"Welcome to Elvalon. The largest city in the whole continent. We are in one of the teleportation rooms right now. My friends are at the Shambling Inn. We have a room there we rent. We will go there first, get you registered in our guild, and then take you shopping. Lets go." she said taking my hand and leading me out into the street. We ran around for awhile eventually coming to a kind of dumpy Inn.

We walked in and then it hit me. The buildings, people, lighting. We are in a different age. We are in the medieval times.

"Wait here." she said before running off into one of the rooms in a hallway. "Ok let's go now. Your cloak is waiting at the tailor. We need to get you some sort of weapon. Also register you into our guild. So let's go."

We left the in and arrived at the tailor shortly. She handed the man a small amount of coins and he brought back a thin shirt, trousers, weird boots, a cloth belt, and a black cape with a  white dragon in the center of the back. I realized that the clothes are the type most people here wear so it's probably so I stand out less. I tied the cape on for now.

"Ok so I'm order to get you stocked we need to register you and we will get a small amount of gold and a certificate that states what you want to be or do then can buy proper stuff for you. You can register one main attack type and a sub one. They will be your choice."

As she finished talking we arrived at the registration center. Some scrawny man took me into a back room and asked me to state what I wanted to do. I decided soon being a mage with a sub class as a medic. And with that he gave me a paper and a small pouch of gold after stamping the paper. After that we went to an armoury.

I showed them the paper and bought some leather armour it was stiff, but cheap enough. I then as a weapon bought a cheap wand and a basic spell book. After that we made our way back to the Inn and this time I went to the room with Alice. What I saw in there was a surprise. A man with long pointy ears and a girl with cat ears and a tail.

"Lucifer. This is Fredrick and Elizabeth. You guys this is Lucifer. He is the one we have been searching for and best of all his magic power seems higher than expected." Alice said.

"Pleasure to meet you two." I said.

"The pleasure is ours." stated Fredrick.

"A few questions though. First are the ears and tail real? Second why did you guys need me? And three how do these spells work do I have to say the words, read them from the book, or can I simply think of the words?" I said.

It was Elizabeth who spoke first. Her words so lovely almost angelic. "Yes they are real. As real as your ears are or your arms. And you can encrypt one spell into your wand at one and since its so basic it can only hold up to three spells at one. You will have to say the rest of them out loud."

"Oh ok thank you." I said as I started to study the spell book looking through the small amount of spells my choices were Flame, Spark, Splash, Flare, and Mend. Seeing as they would probably be the ones I use the most I studied more about Flame, Spark, and Mend and encrypted them into my wand. After that I changed into the new clothes.

"So," Fredrick started "you ready to try out your power. Remember each spell weakens you slightly, but it weakens you way more if you speak the words. The more you use magic and the more you push yourself with magic the stronger your spells will become and the more magic energy you will have to use. Be careful though if you use to powerful of a spell while too weak you can die."

"Sure, let's go and thanks for the advice." I said. With that we started off to the outside of the town. We followed a path leading to a cave. My first Dungeon. A sign read The Cavern of The Snake Lord. 

"Now, this is a basic dungeon for starters Mosnsters in Dungeons respond frequently and at the end you can teleport just outside. We will not help you much. We will carry your loot after you can't carry anymore and step in only if your life is in danger. Understood?"

"Yes it is." I said nervously. My first dungeon, and I can't wait to prove myself. I thought as I started to walk into the cave.
