Chapter 12: Bliss

I rustled awake yawning. I looked around my beautiful room. The purple drapes and wonderful hand carved dressers. My mannequins held my gallant armour while stands hold my blades. I get out of bed and walk towards the window. As I move the drape I am greeting with the wonderful view of the Guildhouse and all the members doing their morning exercises and sparring. Just then I heard a movement from the bed. As I looked back I saw the most beautiful sight I've ever known, my lovely Alice. Her long hair flowing behind her as she rubs her eyes yawning. Today is a really big day for us. I walk up to her saying "I love you darling."

"I love you too. Today is finally the day isn't it? Finally after all this time." she said with the largest smile on her face.

"Yes it finally is. The ladies will be in shortly, I myself will be gone until then. I'll see you around sunhigh."

I spent the day preparing for this glorious day.

It has been over a year and a half since I had first entered this world and today will make all of it all the more amazing. I walked the long long distance from the Guild to the city plaza. As I arrived I was greeted by Fredrick and Garith.

"Haha are you nervous?" Fredrick asked.

"Well yea I mean this is a large ring deal. I am only 18. I do, however, feel this is the best decision." I said.

"Don't worry we will fancy you up." said Fredrick. We spend the better part of 2 hours shopping and dressing when finally we arrived back at the central plaza. It was all so grand the chairs lined up spot on. The each aisle of chairs having a set of flowers on either side. A wonderful set up at the alter. All of our closest friends and Guild members were there. Merchants and some of the strongest leaders gathered. Harley and Amy stood on the left side of the alter while Fredrick and Gerith walked towards the other. I shortly followed them.

After awhile I heard a lute start played as well as a flute. Then I saw her walking towards me. Flowers in hand. The love of my life. She came walking towards me wearing her most beautiful earings that really made her green eyes glow. A long  flowing dress dragged behind her. Final is she got up to me and after all the cheers and music had died down it begin.

"Everyone we are here today two going these two," Fredrick points at us, "in this short and glorious life. They met and fell for each other and today we unite them. They have went through Hell and high water, but survived it all together. Just looking at them now you can see the love flowing through them as they are gazing in each others eyes. Can't all of you feel the love in the air resonating. Well here they are and here we begin the start of their forever. Lucifer do you promise to stand beside your wife throughout all and any hardship as well as the best of times?" Fredrick finished.

"I do." I said as my eyes started it water.

"Alice do you promise to always have your husband's back as he shall have yours?"

"I do." Alice said crying.

"Well now you two are married. So let's go throw a party of a lifetime!" Fredrick shouted pushing us both towards the Tavern. When we got there Fredrick chimed in to the owner "There two just got married make sure they celebrate." and he tossed a small pouch of gold coins towards him smiling. Then went and got himself some ale.

"Some wine to start?" the owner asked.

"Works for us." I said in reply. He poured is both a glass and we sat drinking it sipping in between talks of all the battles we have been through thus far as well as all the lovely nights we slept side by side. We sat drinking more and more until I blacked out.

"Uhhhgghhh." I woke up in my room my head pounding. I looked over to see Alice still sound asleep. I went in search of Fredrick. Finally I found him in the dining area drinking some water. "What in the bloody Hell happened last night?"

"Ha ha you should have seen yourself. You we quite the riot. You damn near started one with your partying. Nearly enough to kill a man is what you drank last night. Alice not quite so much but she still had a few bottles of wine." Fredrick stated still chuckling.

"Well take over for me today I'm resting up before I start training tomorrow. Oh and now that I mention it me and Alice will be taking a journey soon. Nothing to serious, however we may be gone for over a month, but no longer than six."

I walked back into my room and saw her laying there. Even asleep and snoring as loud as she is, she still ha store beauty of a godess. I truly am one of the luckiest people alive. I'm gonna it down one little nap can't hurt until she wakes up.

As I laid down and fell out of this world I was crashed into another. A darker realm. That is when an all too familiar face came into view. He stood there just staring at me. Then I thought I had figured out what he wanted. I dropped down to a knee and bowed my head. He did the opposite of what I had expected he came up and kicked me in the jaw sending my body gliding backwards. I had none of my weapons, but still I knew this was a test using my last year of training I ran towards him. Before I reached him I flipped forward and when the flip was almost done I used my left heal as a weapon. This was easily countered by him, but I knew it I stopped I wouldn't live. So I threw punch after punch as he countered them until I managed to get a light hit in and from there I didn't hold back hitting him with everything I had. When I wanted to move I jumped up and thrusted my knee into is head before doing a backflip away. I saw blood dripping from his nose and lips. That's when he smiled.

"Good you have learned more and more. I am sorry to disappoint you when I say that I have been holding back every since day one. He took off his robes and that's when I realized how strong his is. His muscles bulged against his clothes. He hasn't even been wearing armor just a thin robe. I took notice of his features. His face was so handsome. A chiseled jaw. Short brown hair. When I looked in his eyes all I saw was red. He ran at me with such a  speed as I've never seen. "This is my truest mortal form. Did you really think without any training you could defeat me?" I saw a flash of white then straight to black.
