Chapter 6: Starting the Guild

We all awoke early in the morning. As me and Alice got out of bed the others looked at us suspiciously and curiously, as I put my power into the glove, but did not bother asking. Fredrick went to buy the house while me, Alice, and Elizabeth all went and started advertising. We went all around the town shouting out for people to join us. It was sunhigh when finally the first person came up to us. It took me a moment to realize who it was.

"Hello Sir. You might not remember me, but I'm the girl from the dungeon yesterday. I would like to join your guild. My name is Clare and I have gold that I can use to pay for my entry." Clare said smiling. I laid close attention to her for the first time. She was rather short for her age with brown braided hair. Her eyes were an emerald green.

"Yes of course you can join. Keep the gold however we do not need it. I am Guild Master Lucifer," a title I rather like," and we are the Black Dragons. Your first official task will be to help us here. Start advertising with Elizabeth. We will split up and try to get even more members." I told Clare. She and Elizabeth then started walking towards the smithy. As soon as they were out of sight me and Alice started walked the opposite way holding each others hands. I would give her a kiss here and there in between us screaming out a out joining. I went in for another kiss before quickly throwing me and her both to the ground. I softened her impact before kicking away and drawing the dagger in my left hand preparing a spell in the right using the glove.

I noticed the attacker was no more than a shadow as I ran towards it preparing to stab with my dagger before it was parried and I felt a gjst hit my side. The air was knocked from my lung as I grabbed the arm and pulling it closer. I grabbed into the shadow and stabbed it three times and as blood splattered my clothes I threw it to the ground. Then I noticed it was a man. I assumed he was hired to kill me before he spoke.

"You have more than proven yourself to me. I will join your guild and serve you my Liege." the stranger said getting up and bowing as blood continued to come out of his wounds. His whole body covered in black wrapping except his eyes. Even the skin around his eyes were black. His eyes however were a piercing icy blue.

"Ok stand down soldier. Who are you even?" I said.

"My apologies. I am Gerith Jenson the Third." he said still bowing.

"Well Gerith you can stay with me and Alice till we meet up eight he rest of the guild later." I said.

"Yes Sir." was the last thing he said the whole time we were out. After awhile the sun had almost set and we decided to go meet up with the others back at the Inn. Elizabeth and Clare had no luck finding anyone. We all went in and collected our belongings before giving the Inn keeper the keys to the room back. We all ordered some bread and water as we waited for Fredrick. When he finally showed up the sun was just over the horizon. We all made our way to the new house. When we got there Fredrick and Elizabeth decided that there should be a Hierarchy and I agreed. So in the end I was the Guild Master, Fredrick the military trainer, Alice the treasurer and finally Elizabeth would be the quarter master. After that the others went to bed. Fredrick alone. Gerith as well. Elizabeth took in Clare to her room. Alice went to bed in my room as I stayed awake. As the Guild Master I had much work to do. I set up the guild rules as well. I registered everyone and made our symbol as well as quarters official. I then set the guild rules which are as follows.
1. There will be no internal conflict within the guild.
2. Half of all daily money earned go to the guild treasury.
3. Guild plans come first.
4. Once a month there will be a guild meeting that is mandatory unless you are physically unable to show.
5. If a rank 2 or 1 give you a order you follow it. The only orders that can be over ridden are the ones given by a lower tier that a higher changes.
6. All recruits must go through the Guild Master.
7. Make sure you rest properly and always do your best.

With that the guild was finally official. I then have Alice a kiss on the fire head after I got into the bed before falling asleep.

When I awake I posted the guild rules in the main hall. The I called the first official guild meeting.

"Everyone come here!" I shouted at the head of the table. After Everyone can and sat I finally started talking  again. "So here are the plans. Everyone must complete at least one dungeon every other day. After paying the half to the guild of the total collected from you and/or your group, if you go with one, the rest is split between all that went. The rest is yours to spend on whatever you wish. Seeing as we are small the treasurer will only buy the food we need for the next day. The rest will be saved. The group's go as followed. Alice and I, Fredrick and Elizabeth, Gerith and Clare. Those can be changed if anyone wishes to switch, but do so in your own time. If anyone would like to donate personal gold to the guild it will be greatly appreciated. I will be a rank 1. Fredrick, Alice, and Elizabeth are rank 2. Gerith and Clare are rank 3. If there are ever any questions or concerns talk to me at a time I am available or write me a letter. Also the house name will be The Nightingale house. Any question, complaints, or concerns?" I said.

"No Sir." is the response I got.

"Ok then with that you are dismissed. Oh wait one more thing. Tomorrow, we go for the central dungeon. That's right you heard me. So stock up I'm whatever you need. Try to get to know each other I need it run these papers to a few places and run a couple of errands Alice come on." with that I walked out. Me and Alice hand in hand dropped the papers off at the registration center and then walked to the same tailor I first came to when I got here. I had the two new recruited cloaks ordered. Then after looking for a bit chose a new pair of cheap clothes knowing it would more than cover it I handed the tailor two gold pieces. He seemed more than happy with it. After than we went to the market district where I picked out a cute little necklace for Alice. It had a large quartz with thin silver spiraling down it only three times before reaching the bottom. At the bottom was a small sapphire. After that I found a spell vendor. I sold my Flames and Sparks books as well as my Mend and Flare. Afterwards I bout a much step get healing spell, Repair. This new spell would allow me to mend broken bones and huge gashes, but at a heavy cost of my magic. Then I saw a spell that caught my eyes. It was Boost. I could speed up others or my own running and power up jumps. It was rather cheap so I bought it as well. I had my glove looked at and in addition to the large amass of magic stored, it could hold 5 spells. I ended with Fireball, Lightingbolt, Candle light, Repair, and Boost. I sold my wand seeing it useless. After that me and Alice went to the woods. Not to challenge the ever hardening dungeon. No to do something much better than that. To train with new techniques both solo and together. Using Boost I could quicken the speed of my spells so I can quickly say Firebolt to launch a bolt onto her arrow tips and make flaming arrows. In addition to that I could use Fireball or Thunderbolt on the glove and make electric or flaming punches. After hours of non-stop training we decided to head back to the town. I then decided to stop by the market district one last time. We stop by Erik so I could get something.

"Ello it's ya again. Glad ta see yar not dead." he said with a laugh.

"Ha ha Erik. Look I got this glove and I was wondering. Do you think you could add metal spikes, nothing too big, on each knuckle? I would also like another thing of leather over the metal and something soft on the inside down sort of cheap fur just to soften the punches for me and make them hurt worse on others." I asked.

"Ya acourse I can. I am a Smith after all." Erik said still smiling. He walked back into the back of the smithy with my glove. After about 20 minutes he walked out with the glove.

"How much?" I asked again.

"On da house this one." he replied.

"Really? Thank you." I said shaking his hand. Me and Alice walked back to the Nightingale House. The sun was still up, but me and Alice were exhausted and we had a huge day tomorrow. "Goodnight everyone!" I shouted before laying down. "Goodnight my love." I said kissing Alice as she snuggles closer to me. As I drifted off to sleep I had an amazing mental image. Me and her in a house of our own at a lakeside. That would be wonderful. I thought.
