We teleported in only to be surrounded by an inflamed building shouting "Spash!" I slowly put out a path throughout the flames thick enough for me and Alice to run through. We passed the flames only to be ambushed. As several dozen steel armor clad men formed a semicircle leaving our only escape the flames a man with dark skin and deep long rooted scars etched into his skin from countless battles came forward with several wizards surrounding him.

"You truly know how to made strong enemies quickly now don't you?" the men said with a voice deeper than all else I've heard. "My Master would like a word be it you as a whole or bits and pieces missing. A hand and a leg missing won't make too much a difference to him. Haahaahaa. So what will it be then? The easy way, or the fun?"

Ok so judging from the current situation this was premeditated. Someone knew we would be coming back around now. What's worse is they know who we are and we made enemies strong enough to make this happen. What if the guild what of my family. "My friends, are they alright?"

"Depends. Do you consider shattered, broken, bound and void of all hope alright haahaahaa because if so then yes they are perf-" I hurled three firebolts at him before he could finish that sentence. He wants to mess with them, he has the nerve to hurt them, not even having the balls to do so with me here. He will pay, him and all of his men will pay with blood. I threw one dagger slicing two men's throats. As the blood splattered and they fell I threw three more ignoring where they went as I charged towards the nearest slashing him at the waste his organs spilled across the floor by the time my hilt hit his comrades helm. FUCKING BASTARDS YOU WILL ALL DIE. Then I went for the first mage blasting him with a Firebolt tapped from the glove. All that was left was ash after the fire dispersed. I saw out the corner of my eye another mage aiming his staff at me muttering. The tip lit up and I felt even more adrenaline pump through my blood before I saw an arrow stick in his head. Confused I remembered Alice was here too. As I looked around I realized she had been protecting me from the occasional threat. I charged my blade with the fire elemental strength. As the blade grew red and flames formed around it I went on slashing through the crowd at least half of them had to have been downed.

"Alice run!" I shouted taking off myself after I boosted her and I. She thankfully ran a different way and I hoped they would follow me rather than her. I ran to the guildhouse. Ablaze, it was ablaze. I ran in I found out gold and collected it. Then I saw Clare trapped under a broken beam. I went and lifted it off her. "Take the gold get as far away as possible. Go!" she took off without a question. Suddenly I heard the whirl of an arrow as it struck me in the left shoulder. Cursing I broke the shaft of the arrow and started running. As I dove from path to path I thought I had gotten away until I turned a corner only to be bashed in the head. I fell backwards breathless.

"You thought you could escape. You can never escape from your demons. Maybe you will learn that eventually." the scarred man said before he lifted my head and bashed his into mine. His grim smile is the last thing I remember before all went black.
