Chapter 7: The Eternal Dungeon (Part 1)

I awoke early the next morning. I let Alice continue to slumber. She looked so wonderful. Like a sleeping Goddess. As she slept I walked to the window. I sat there thinking avo7t everything. About how much I miss my Mother and my feline friend. I sat there pondering what would happen to me while I went into the dungeon. As I sat thinking town flew by and when I snapped out of it I looked to see the sun peeking over the horizon. It was at this moment I woke Alice as well as the rest of the guild.

"Everyone one up" I shouted. "Today is the day! I will bring us far into the dungeon! We will not fall nor fail! The goal of today is floor 5! That means we need to get to floor 6! Everyone down to the dinning hall. Let us eat out full before we are off. Make sure your blades are sharpened, your bellies full, our hearts courageous, and our minds focused."I shouted three the house on my way slowly walking to the dinning hall.

"My Liege." Gerith said bowing before handing me a fancy looking shoulder pad. I adjusted my cape to go over my left shoulder and let my right arm be completely free. I strapped the pad to my right shoulder. Gerith then handed everybody a small veil. "This Is set to teleport you back here upon being drunk." he said bowing once more.

"Thank you Gerith. Now as we dine let's go over the battle plan. Fredrick. You and Clare are front attack and main defence. I will switch between middle and front. Alice. You and Elizabeth with stay in back. Seeing as we will more than likely be too busy fighting, Elizabeth collect the loot. When we start going down or further in that is when we will stop and rest as well as move the items to others. Gerith. You stay in the shadows. Remain hidden as much as possible. You may scout ahead and attack ahead. Be sure your always aware of the condition of  the party. If you get the chance assassinate the target or support us. Is this all understood? I said. Yes, yeah, and yes Sir were my replies. We all sat and ate. Once everyone was finished I said "Lastly remember. No man woman or child left behind. Let us be off."

We all quickly walked to the center of the city. When we arrived I saw a huge dome. Assuming that was the entrance to the dungeon we all walked there. I noticed a lot of people have taken advantage of the dungeon and set up shop right here in the dome. We started going down into the dungeon. The beginning was much deeper than anticipated. After defending around 300 stairs we finally reached two doors, the entrance.

"Good luck all and may the Gods be on our side." Fredrick said as we walked in.

From the very second we closed the doors there were monsters. We were flanked by hounds. All relatively small. Alice shot three arrows making do of three of them. Clare using her knuckles sent another two flying backwards attracting another couple of pacts of them. Alice was constantly sending arrows towards the further back ones as me and Fredrick mauled those in front of us. Clare was attacking as fast as possible, but as three attacked another caught her off guard and bit into her leg. I rushed over and killed the hound.

"Get back everyone!" I shouted after thinking Boost. After they ran back I jumped up, with the help of boost sending me up about 17 feet, I quickly thought Fireball four times which were sent out huddling towards the hounds. Three of them took care of them all so the fourth was simply over kill. "Splash" I said putting out some of the fire left. We marched forward and there was loot just lying there compliments of Gerith. Then he whispered into my ear about the boss of this floor. "Ok everyone. This is what the boss is, and here is the plan." After I told them we walked forwards. I boosted me, Fredrick, Alice, and Clare. I added "Splash" to Fredrick's sword and shield. I used Lighting bolt on Clare's knuckles. Finally I charged Alice's arrows with "Firebolt" as well as my glove. Then they showed running toward us. Three huge elemental Hounds, a fire, water, and a grass, all three times taller than us. Fredrick headed towards the fire Hound. Clare towards the water Hound backed by Gerith. Alice launched several arrows towards the grass Hound as I sent several Fireballs towards him. I then jumped onto its head stabbing it with my dagger as Fredrick slashed at the fire Hound slowly putting him out and Gerith kept shadow attacking the water Hound as Clare shattered it's legs one at a time. I then put my glove in front of the opening of his ears as I opened my glove shouting Fireball in my head. Clare at that time brought her Hound down and shattered it's skull with two punches. Still at the same time Fredrick dug his sword into the once a fire Hound's chest and dragged the blade downwards tearing it open as it's guts poured out of its belly.
