Chapter 6 : Riker's meltdown

Chapter 6

Later...

Riker POV

"Riker! Too tight! Can't breathe!"

I felt a jab in my stomach, and my eyes snapped open. Ross sighed.

"What... I'm confused..." I said, looking around.

It was morning now.

"Were you having a bad dream or something? Because you had a death grip on me," Ross said.

"Oh um... Yeah... Sorry..."

"It's ok... Do you think maybe we could do something together today?"

"Yeah... If it doesn't involve Paige."

"I thought you were friends with her again."

"Um... Sort of... I just... don't really want to be around her again yet..."

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"No... I'm going to go get changed."

I quickly changed in my closet, and when I was done, Ross came into my bedroom wearing a different set of clothes.

"So what do you want to do?" Ross asked.

"I don't know... What time is it?"

"Almost lunchtime."

"Oh wow... We slept late."

"You slept late. I was just trapped."

"Whatever... Um... Maybe we can go play videogames."

"Sure."

We went downstairs, and who was down there? Paige and Curt! What the heck!?

"New plan! We're going for a walk!" I whisper yelled, pulling Ross's arm.

We went out the front door.

"Why are we going for a walk?"

"Because I don't want to be home while those 2 are here too."

"Riker, Curt's your best friend. And so is Paige. I don't get what the big deal is."

"I don't like them knowing each other! They're only supposed to know me!"

"Riker, get over it. Like seriously."

We walked down the street until we came to the end of it.

"Now what?" Ross asked.

"Now... We um..."

"I'm hungry. I'm going home."

"No! Ross! Wait!"

I grabbed his hand.

"What, Riker?"

"How about... we go have breakfast out somewhere!"

"Do you even have money on you?"

"Um... No..."

"Right. Let's go home."

"No! Wait!"

"Riker."

"Let's um... uh..."

"We're going home!"

Ross pulled my wrist until we got back home. He had to drag me into the kitchen, but when we got there, Paige and Curt were gone. I felt so relieved and so stressed at the same time. Where are they!?

Ross started making himself a bowl of cereal.

"Want some?" Ross asked.

"Um... No, I'm good."
