Later...

Riker POV

Ever since we decided that we were back together, I've been happier than ever, and Paige stopped crying. And I was glad. I hate seeing her upset.

I asked her if she wanted to sleepover tonight, and she said yes. But right now we were sitting outside in the backyard in the grass. The sun was just starting to go down, and we were watching the sunset together.

"Paige?"

"Yeah?"

"I just had a question... Don't get mad at me."

"Oh no... What is it?"

"You know how you dated Curt?"

"Yes..."

"Were you really in love with him?"

"Riker..."

"I'm sorry! I just want to know!"

"No, I wasn't really in love with him. I thought he was cute, but honestly... My feelings for you never left."

It felt like my chest was going to explode from how great I felt. I fell over backwards in the grass.

"Riker?"

I let out a happy sigh.

"I'm just happy, ok?"

I wrapped my arm around Paige, and pulled her down so her head was on my chest. We could still see the sunset.

The back door opened, and Rocky came walking over to us.

"I know you guys are friends, but you're seriously acting like a couple."

"Actually Rocky... We're back together," I said, smiling.

"You took her back!? After she broke your heart!?"

"Yes, I did! Now why'd you come out here?"

"To tell you that dad's back. And he wants to talk to you."

"Well tell him we'll come in after the sun sets."

"Ok..."

Rocky left, and Paige took my hand. She was sort of just playing with my fingers at this point.

"Isn't the sun set pretty?" Paige asked.

"Yeah... I love you..."

"I love you too, Riker."

"You don't know how amazing that is to finally hear..."

"Stop being adorable."

She turned so she was facing me, and poked my nose. I tried to bite her finger, but I missed.

"Ew! Don't bite me!"

"Then don't touch my nose!"

"I'll touch it if I want to touch it."

She poked it again, and I tried to bite her, but I missed.

"Stop poking me, and watch the sunset."

Paige laughed, and laid down on my chest again, staring up at the sky. We watched as the sun slowly went down, and it was pretty dark now.

I sat up and so did Paige. I took her hand, and we went back inside the house. We found dad in the kitchen.

"So... What happened?" I asked, sitting down.

I grabbed Paige's waist, and pulled her to me. She sat on my lap.

"I told the police what you guys thought. They're going to try to get all 3 girls, and detain them. They're going to question them. And then we'll take it from there."
