Days later...
Riker POV
I came down the stairs, and Rydel yanked my arm, pulling me into the kitchen.
"Where do you think you're going, all dressed up like that?" Rydel asked.
"To Ashley's?"
"No. I'm not letting you go back there."
"Rydel, what's your problem?"
"My problem is that she's just using you!"
"For what?"
"For money!"
"Um... No, she's not."
"Rik, she's gotten you to take her to the fanciest restaurants for your dates. And she makes you walk her home every time she comes over here. And, exactly how many things have you bought her?"
"Um... Well we went to a few of her favorite places in the mall yesterday. I didn't buy her that many things..."
"Riker."
"I spent... probably only $250 on her."
"And what did you buy for yourself?"
"Um... Nothing...?"
"Rik, you spent your own money on her."
"Well that's what boyfriends do!"
"Not if you've only been dating for 5 days! And how many hoodies of yours does she have?"
"Um... 4?"
"She's using you for money, Riker!"
"No, she's not, Rydel!"
"I want you to cancel your date with her."
"No way!"
"Riker."
"What if I don't!?"
"I'll tell mom you're thinking about hurting yourself, and she'll make you stay home."
"You're the worst little sister ever!" I screamed, running upstairs.
I grabbed my phone, and called Ashley.
"Hello?"
"Ashley, I have to cancel because of my stupid little sister."
"What happened?"
"Nothing... Maybe I'll see you tomorrow, ok?"
"Yeah. Bye, Riker."
"Bye..."
I walked back downstairs.
"I hope you're happy!" I shouted angrily.
"Rik, calm down. How about you come to the beach with me, Paige, and Curt? It'll get your mind off of it."
I growled at my sister.
"Rik, come on. Please?"
"Why should I?"
"Because it'll be fun! Don't you want to have some fun?"
I sighed, thinking. I can either go to the beach and ignore Paige for the whole day, and possibly have fun with Curt. Or I can sit here, and do nothing.
"Fine, I'll come to the beach with you..."
"Good. Go put on your swimsuit. And then I'll drive us there."
"No! I want to drive!"
"Mom says you're not allowed."
"Why!?"
