Newt's hand lay gently on my cheek as we sat at my favorite spot in the glade, under the tree farthest from the activites of the glade. The night sky was so beautiful it made me wonder if the world outside could be as amazing. But it didn't matter, in this moment all that mattered was Newt. His eyes were locked onto mine as his right hand lay on my cheek. I found his left hand slowly interlacing with my right, I didn't fight it. I didn't want to. Our faces were so close we were practically breathing each other's breaths. His eyes slowly closed as his head slightly tilted. The hand that lay on my cheek gently pushed me toward him. I found myself closing my eyes as his lips met mine. They were soft, I couldn't help but want more. I felt him smile as he kissed me gently and I smiled back. He quietly laughed. I suddenly understood that feeling.
"Hey," I said quietly without parting from his lips. "I think I'm in love with you."
"I think I'm in love with you too, greenie." Newt smiled as he pulled away, both his hands, now cupped my face. He leaned forward as we continued to kiss under the beautifully moonlit sky. My thought's were filled with Newt and I completely forgot about my run the following day.
