After lunch, the campers from Cabin Lotus just hung out at archery since Caitlyn was nowhere to be found.
"I wonder where Caitlyn is, we last saw her at the canoe thing," Sophie wondered.
"Yeah, I'm starting to think that maybe Brown fired her," Natalie said.
"That's ridiculous, I'm pretty sure Caitlyn don't get paid," Sally remarked.
"Then why would she come here?" Annabelle asked.
"Annabelle, sometimes being with friends and having fun is way more important than money," Sally replied.
"Ridiculous," Annabelle said.
They spent almost two hours at archery, then they decided head back to their cabin.
"Let's play duck, duck, goose!" Sally suggested.
"What are you, 5?" Annabelle asked.
"Ouch," Sophie said.
"Come on, I'm 11 and I also think that's lame," Natalie remarked.
"You're 11?" Annabelle asked.
"Yeah, I just thought you were a really tall six year old," Sophie added.
Natalie rolled her eyes and sat on her bed.
"What should we do then?" Sally asked.
"Let's go snoop in Caitlyn's room," Annabelle suggested.
Everyone turned to face her.
"Fine, we won't," Annabelle said.
"We gotta do something," Natalie remarked.
"We could play volleyball! Two on two, like they do in the Olympics," Sophie suggested.
"Fine with me," Annabelle said.
"You and me?" Sally asked.
Annabelle tackled her as a yes.
"They're so going down," Natalie whispered to Sophie.
A few hours later, the volleyball score was 62-23. Annabelle and Sally were lying on the grass, exhausted. While Natalie was drinking water along with Sophie. I'm pretty sure you guys know who won.
"We're done, right?" Sally asked as Annabelle and her stood up.
"Just one more game," Natalie said as she served the ball.
Sally and Annabelle collapsed again. The ball hit the other side and it was 63-23.
"We're done now," Sophie called out to Sally and Annabelle.
The bell rang for supper. The girls got cleaned up and went into the mess hall.
"Let's sit at the table in the far end," Sally pointed.
"Whatever," Annabelle remarked.
"Sophie, you coming?" Natalie asked.
"No thanks, I kinda have other friends to catch up with," Sophie said and the other girls left her.
"Yoo-hoo! Sophie! Over here!" Clyde called out.
Sophie turned to see Clyde, Sawyer, Diego, and Vivian at their table.
"Great, Clyde was invited," Sophie remarked sarcastically.
She made her way to their table and sat down with all her food.
"Pourquoi regardez-vous si triste?" Diego asked Sophie.
"I'm sorry, what?" Sophie asked.
"Sorry, old habit. I meant to ask why do you look so glum?" Diego asked.
"Because Caitlyn is nowhere to be found," Sophie replied.
"Yeah, I heard somewhere that she might be fired," Sawyer added.
"How did you hear that?" Vivian asked.
"Rumor, it's not like I stood outside Cabin Lotus listening," Clyde said.
"Come on, guys, let's just eat," Sophie remarked, picking up her fork.
3, 2, 1!
Everyone spat out their food.
"Ewww, what was in that?!" Vivian exclaimed.
"Don't even want to know," Clyde replied.
"The less we know, the better," Diego added.
And that was that.
After dinner, Cabin Lotus just joined Cabin Sharks at the rock climbing wall.
"Let's have a competition," Clyde suggested.
"Fun! Who am I tackling first?" Annabelle asked, looking at the boys like they're prey.
"Let's stick to rock climbing," Sophie said, holding Annabelle back.
"Since there is 11 of us, someone can keep score," Alex remarked.
"I'll do it!" Natalie and Newton both volunteered.
"Just one of you dweebs do it," Clyde said, shoving the clipboard in Natalie's hands.
"Sally and Alex are up first!" Natalie announced.
Sally began climbing but Alex was way ahead of her.
"A little help here!" Sally said.
"I got you," Alex replied as he held a hand out.
Sally grabbed his hand and pulled him to the ground while she climbed up.
"Sally wins!" Natalie exclaimed.
Everyone cheered and whooped as Sally came down.
"Well played, blonde," Alex said.
"Too bad I had to risk your face to do that," Sally remarked.
"Sawyer and Sophie next!" Natalie announced.
Sophie and Sawyer both climbed fast. Although, Sophie were just a tad faster.
"What do we do now?" Sawyer asked when they both reached the top.
"Let's see who can get down faster," Sophie said as the both of them climbed down.
Sophie's feet reached the ground faster so----
"Sophie wins!" Natalie exclaimed.
Sawyer high-fived Sophie as the two of them sat down.
"Phillip and Annabelle next!" Natalie announced.
They started climbing and it looked like Phillip was going to win.
"A little help here?" Annabelle asked.
"I'm not falling for that," Phillip called out from above.
Annabelle rolled her eyes.
"Phillip wins!" Natalie exclaimed.
Phillip climbed down and Annabelle tackled him.
"He lost anyways," Sophie said and Sawyer laughed.
"Clyde and Newton next!" Natalie announced.
"You're going down, little man," Clyde said.
Newton started to climb but he was trembling so much.
"What's wrong?" Clyde asked as he climbed right past Newton.
"I learned that some of camp's injuries are mostly from climbing walls," Newton replied.
"Wimp!" Clyde called out from the top.
"Clyde wins!" Natalie exclaimed.
"Nice game," Clyde said to Newton once he reached the ground.
"Game? More like almost death experience," Newton replied.
"Sophie and Sally next!" Natalie announced.
"Oh geez," Sally said.
Sophie climbed to the top before you know it.
"Sophie wins!" Natalie exclaimed.
"Yeah, I knew it," Sally remarked.
"Clyde and Phillip next!" Natalie announced.
Clyde and Phillip both reached the top so they decided to see who reached the ground first.
"I'm totally going to win," Phillip said.
"Really, oh, I had garlic today," Clyde remarked as he blew in Phillip's face.
It obviously smelled nasty so while Phillip was distracted, Clyde won.
"Clyde wins!" Natalie exclaimed.
"No fair, that was cheating!" Sophie said.
"Not really, the rules didn't object to cheating," Natalie replied.
"Ugh," Sophie said.
"Sophie and Clyde next!" Natalie announced.
"You're going down," Clyde said to Sophie.
"Really?" Sophie said as she flipped her hair.
"Your hair," Clyde said because he was distracted by it.
Sophie won, no surprise.
"Sophie wins! She is the ultimate champion!" Natalie exclaimed.
(Author's Note: I really wanted to do a dramatic part of the story in this chapter but I have to save it for the next chapter because this is at like 1000 words which is even too much for me to type. Here is the paper that was on Natalie's clipboard:
