(So, um, after this chapter, this book will end in at least 10 chapters. So I wanted to touch base with everyone and say that the main conflict will be Sophie and Diego. The climax would be Bella and Pepper arriving. So yeah, sorry to anyone who got confused.)
Sophie grabbed a piece of chocolate and sat down next to Diego. Diego's leg was shaking a lot.
"You okay, Diego?" Sophie asked.
"Totally fine, why?" Diego asked.
"Your leg says otherwise," Sophie replied.
"I'm fine, geez," Diego said.
Sophie rolled her eyes and walked over to Bella and Pepper.
"You okay, Bells?" Sophie asked.
"It just has been a crazy day," Bella answered.
"Hey, don't worry, no matter what happens, we'll get through it together," Pepper said and the three of them hugged.
"Alright! Alright! So it's been an eventful couple of weeks. Now it's time to let loose. I'll be substituting for Brown so let's start with some campfire games. Any suggestions?" Shane asked.
"Duck, duck, goose!" Sally called out.
"Lame," Nate muttered.
"Truth or dare!" Someone else called out.
"Bingo!" Jason remarked.
"What a pointless game," Natalie commented.
"Shh!" Annabelle shushed.
"Let's start! So um..." Mitchie scanned around, searching for someone, "Bella, our guest visitor."
Bella stood up, laughing nervously.
"Truth or dare?" Mitchie asked.
"Truth," Bella replied.
"Ok, who's your crush?" Mitchie asked.
"Erm..." Bella stuttered, "My boyfriend, Zack, obviously."
"Oh ok, your turn," Mitchie said.
Bella nodded, "Sophie! Truth or dare?"
Sophie stood up and replied, "Dare, let's do this."
"Fine, dance like a chicken," Bella requested.
Sophie walked around during the chicken dance while making chicken noises. "Bawk! Bawk, bawk!"
Everyone including Kyle laughed.
"What are you laughing at, Kyle?" Sophie said as she stopped, "Truth or dare?"
"Truth," Kyle answered.
"Ok, fine, what's up with you and Vivian?" Sophie asked.
Kyle looked at Sophie, confused. "Who's Vivian?"
Sophie pointed to Vivian and said, "Your girlfriend, Vivian."
Kyle stood up and addressed, "Ok, she's just crazy. She's not my girlfriend. I have a girlfriend named Kaylee."
Everyone gasped. Kyle pointed to a curly brunette girl with pink lip gloss across the fire.
"Woah," Sally said.
"Tell me about it," Pepper agreed.
"Pointless," Natalie sing songed.
Bella stormed off and Pepper followed her. Then, everyone went silent.
"O-kay...well, I guess that's all for tonight." Nate announced.
"Aww, it was just getting interesting!" Annabelle remarked.
All of the counselors led their groups to their cabins.
"Kyle? You coming?" Shane asked a dazed Kyle looking at the Cabin Lotus.
Kyle didn't respond. Shane jogged up to Kyle.
"Kyle? What just happened?" Shane asked.
"Nothing," Kyle lied.
"Look, if you really like her, don't waste your time on someone else," Shane said.
Kyle kept staring.
"If not, maybe it's time to move on," Shane advised.
He patted Kyle's back and continued his way to Cabin Music. Kyle looked at Cabin Lotus for one last time and followed Shane.
During breakfast, everything returned to normal.
"Where's Sally?" Sophie asked as she sat down.
"Annabelle finally broke her," Natalie responded.
"Wait! Something is different!" Annabelle exclaimed.
"Duh," Sophie remarked.
"That's right! Did you change your hair or something?" Annabelle asked.
Sophie slapped her forehead.
"Just kidding, kidding. Why aren't you sitting with Diego?" Annabelle asked.
Sophie peered at Diego who was busy talking with Vivian.
"Sophie?" Natalie snapped her fingers.
Sophie turned back to Natalie and Annabelle.
"No reason," Sophie lied.
"I find that hard to believe," Natalie remarked.
"Whatever," Sophie replied, "I'm going to get some more juice."
Sophie got up and walked over to the beverage machine. She leaned back and looked around. She then realized that someone sat down at her spot.
"Nice talking to you, ciao, Natalie," The person blew a kiss and walked away.
Sophie hurriedly dashed back to her seat.
"Who was that?" Sophie asked.
"Kaylee," Natalie responded.
"You're friends with Kyle's girlfriend?" Sophie asked.
"No," Natalie replied.
Sophie let out a breath of relief.
"Kyle is dating my cousin," Natalie explained.
"Why didn't you just reply yes?" Sophie asked.
"Well, first, Kaylee was my cousin first before she was Kyle's girlfriend and she's not just my friend," Natalie explained.
"Same thing," Sophie remarked.
"Technically..." Natalie started to say.
"Don't care," Sophie cut her off.(Sorry for the short chapter. Please read this message. So I'll be updating this and my Transported story over winter break which is the next two weeks. I'll be also putting out a holiday special short story. This will be in a new story called SPECIAL SHORT STORIES. Keep your eyes peeled out for that story.)
