Chapter Twenty-Five:
~•*Buzz* *Buzz* *Buzz* The alarm buzzed a little while longer before being cut off. Gina rubbed her eyes with a yawn and stretch. She looked around and saw the sun slowly starting to shine through her curtains. It was Saturday and she had the day off. She sat in bed taking a moment for herself. It been at least a month since she returned to her idol life. Things have gotten better for her business and her health. She was able to live alone again after promising Nyla and her members that she wouldn't do anything. She woke up each day feeling a lot better than she use to. But no matter how much time went by, she couldn't forget about Key. She hadn't seen him since the night she woke up in the hospital. He hadn't been in the news lately, so she figured that he and Skyler were still engaged. She got out of bed with a sigh and stretched her back. Nyla was running the shop today so she figured she'd pay a visit.
~• "Good morning Gina~!" A worker greeted her as she entered and she gave a smile. They seemed really busy today which surprised her, it's never been this busy before. As she walked toward her office she spotted Nyla in hers right next door. "Yes, yes ma'am. I'll make sure to tell her that. Have a good day~!" She hung up the phone with a huff "Nyla?" She looked up and a big smile grew on her face "Gina-ssi!" She jumped up and gave her a hug "It's oddly busy in here today." Nyla gave her a look "Tell me about it. We've been getting orders since this morning and it hasn't died down yet." Gina stood in her office with her hands in her pockets as she made her way back to her desk "It's unbelievable how many calls we've been getting" she sat down and Gina noticed pictures of her and her boyfriend along her desk. They were really cute, as she looked back at Nyla answering another phone call she remembered she was also a student. Probably spent her nights studying while working for her during the day. As she hung up the phone Gina bit her lip "Hey Nyla?" The young girl looked up from her desk "I've been thinking...maybe you shouldn't be my assistant anymore." Her face dropped and Gina saw the panic cover her face "B-Bwoh! Wae??" She rose from her seat and walked to her "Is it because I forgot to bring coffee for everyone when it was my turn??" She looked up at her like a lost child. Gina laughed a little "Ani, it's just that you're a student and I know exams are coming up so I-" "It won't interfere with my work I promise! I'll find a way to balance it better! I really love you and this job please don't fire me Gina-ssi!!" Gina looked at her "Fire you? Who said anything about firing you?" Nyla stared at her as her expression changed from panic to blank as her mouth tried to form words. "But...I thought...you...I just..." "You really thought I was going to fire you? I'd be out of mind" she chuckled and Nyla rubbed her neck "Ah, I'm gonna let you finish this time..." They laughed a little and Gina continued "What I was saying is that I know you're a student and you have your exams so I was thinking of promoting you." Her eyes widened "A Promotion?" She nodded "If you're up for it, you'd be the co-owner. Which means you'll have more time to study, and spend with your boyfriend, and even hire your own assistant if you want." She stood there for a moment and stared at her, unsure if what she was hearing was right "You're...you're making me co-owner of you business that you've spent years of hard work and sweat to create?" Gina nodded with a smile and Nyla looked at her "You're not dying are you?" She rolled her eyes "No! I'm trying to show you how much I appreciate you. You've helped me a lot also and you saved my life when I gave up on it. So....this is my thank you" Nyla smiled, full of joy and happiness as the tears started forming in her eyes "Do you want the job or-" "Yes!" She hugged her tightly and Gina laughed hugging her back "Then it's official! We're partners!" Nyla jumped up and down with joy suddenly stopping "Oh, if you don't mind. Is there a way I can be co-owner and still be your assistant?" Gina giggled "Of course!" They smiled as they held each others hands "I'm so excited! KYAAAA!!!" *knock* *knock* Her squeal was cut short by a sudden knock on her door. The girls turned and saw a familiar face standing in the doorway "Am I interrupting something?" Key looked down at the two girls, strains of his jet black hair falling over his forehead. Gina stared at him in awe, he never failed to amaze her with his looks. Black was honestly her favorite hair color on him and the contacts he would wear only made him look better. Nyla noticing her elder staring and grinned a little "Nope, we were just finishing up a meeting." Gina looked at her as she returned to her desk with a wink and continued taking incoming phone calls. Key took Gina's hand much to her surprise and lead her out of the office so Nyla could finish in peace. She followed him back to her own office where he closed the door. Gina looked up at him as he took both of her hands in his. He didn't look directly in her eyes at first and didn't say anything either. Gina waited was he slowly lifted his head "Hi..." He gave a shy smile and she laughed, she'd never seen the shy Kibum before, it was cute. "Hi." She smiled and he looked back down at their hands "Are you busy today?" "Not at the moment." He grinned "Would you mind spending some time with me then?" He asked looking up at her again greeted with a light smirk "I think I have time to spare."
