Cats, I really did hate cats. They had attacked the beautiful birds that came to my bird feeders when I was little. Not even to eat them, most of them were killed for sports. Dad made new feeders in high steel posts without anything around them for the cats to climb. We thought that they were safe but the cats came back and raided the nests. I was heartbroken. Now we trapped any cat that came onto our place. For mice in the sheds and the house we used baits and traps too, we had them under control without the demon animals called cats roaming around on our farm.

It was actually fair to compare the females behind me to cats and I put a smile on my face just as someone said. "Turn around b!tch."

I did, standing up, but Adrien got up to stand close beside me and I could tell the girls were taken aback with that.

"Did you know b!tch is short for Babe In Total Control of Herself?" I asked nobody in particular as I looked at them. There was laughter behind me but the soft chuckle beside me made me feel confident.

"You're a Bi- stupid!" Annabel snapped at me getting closer.

"I get better grades than you, if I'm stupid... What does that make you?"

She turned red, there was a lot of laughter behind me now and the rest of the lunchroom was completely silent. "You keep your dirty paws off my man. Everybody knows Bobby is mine. Just because Adrien is done with your desperate act doesn_"

She was interrupted by Adrien. "She's never been desperate. She's not like some people, like you, throwing yourself at a guy that clearly doesn't want you. And trust me, as his friend I can guarantee you that he doesn't want you. You're delusional."

There was a loud clack clack as Susan marched over in her heels with half the football team in tow.

"I don't understand why you guys are sticking by her side when she is nothing but trash. If you would take the time getting to know the rest of us you would understand that. It's crazy that you guys protect her to the point of beating my boyfriend up."

"We don't need to get to know anyone else any better, we're already hanging out with the best company this school has to offer. And she is the only one that fits with said company."

"You arrogant piece of shit!" Susan yelled.

I kinda had to agree, what he said was rather arrogant but he had included me in the best company so I couldn't restrain the smile that grew on my lips.

"Whatdayawant Susan?" I asked as nicely as possible. Adrien had put me in a good mood with what he said.

"I want a lot of things but the most important thing you need to ask is when will they disappear again. Just remember that they were gone for almost two whole weeks last time." The treat was clear as she turned and stalked off arm in arm with the broken looking captain of the football team.

"Yeah! Trash!" Annabel snapped. But before she could turn away I snapped back.

"Trash, per definition, is something that has been used and tossed aside. Never happened to me, can you say the same?" I turned and sat down without waiting for a reply.

Camille was the first to talk to me. "Holy hell, I always suspected you hard a hard edge somewhere but you just cut her right to the bone! You have an awesome snarky side, why have you hidden it for so long?"

"Shut up Camille." I smiled.

Emily carefully said my name, she was in the year below us and normally she would greet me politely but we never never really talked. "Yes?"

"What will they do when we aren't here?"

"Nothing they haven't done before." I tried to smile. "Don't worry about it."
