When I got to school, after returning the furniture to where it should be, talking to the twins in our minds and talking out loud to dad while having a coffee he brought, I missed first period. First thing I saw on arrival was a big black bike right at the front of the school. New addition, huh wonder who owned that beast, then I remembered that I called Ryker a bad boy wannabe because he had no bike and laughed.

The bell rang and people flooded the hallways as I entered. After going to the office I grabbed my stuff from my locker and went to my second period. English Literature, joy. I went to my usual seat and was kicked in the ankle on the way there. The three empty seats around me were glaringly obvious as the teacher started droning on about something I would never need in real life. The door banged open and in stepped a pair of black scuffed combat boots, black non ripped, non skinny, nicely fitted jeans encased a long pair of legs and a tightly fitted white t shirt was partly covered by a black leather jacket. The smirk and the wink he send the teacher made her blush.
"Hello Miss, I'm Ryker. I'm sorry to be late, it's my first day here." He told her smoothly and it was so opposite the bad boy image that I accidentally laughed.
"Would you care to share what is so funny?" The teacher snapped at me.
Still smiling I replied. "Well miss, we get so few new students here that the maps are probably outdated after the renovations a few years ago. He most likely got lost."
Everybody chuckled. It was true. Finally with a small shake of her head she asked Ryker to introduce himself.

"I'm Ryker, I'm new here and I own the bike out the front...don't touch my bike and we'll be fine." He said boldly. He winked at me when he said he owned the bike but most of the girls in the room thought it was them and I could see their excitement at the thought. He walked over to me and sat right beside me with a smirk.

"Seen as the maps are crap I think I'll just stick with you, Shorty." He told me loudly, ignoring the things people said to him and he kindly told the teacher. "Please proceed Miss. I didn't mean to interrupt your teaching." Then he grabbed a notebook and pen and pretended to only have eyes for our poor teacher. She was blushing madly and stammering as she tried to get back to the subject matter. Ryker just smirked.

Nobody managed to do anything to me until lunch because Ryker had the exact schedule as I did and stayed by my side the whole time. When we arrived at the cafeteria he asked me if I wanted a drink too. I told him a can of Lipton would be great and told him where I'd sit before parting ways at the doors. Nobody did anything as I walked to the table. The noise was the same as always as I sat down and pulled my lunch out. Deep in thought about whether I should wait to eat until Ryker came over or not, it took a second before I noticed someone had walked past and dropped a piece of paper on the table that said. 'She coming for you. Watch out I heard her talk about making you hurt!'

Just in time I turned to see a junior sit down at the table behind me with a worried look. She nodded, confirming she had dropped the note. The others at her table looked equally worried for her. I shot her a small smile and nodded in appreciation as a hush fell over the room. Camille would have probably said something cool like 'B!tch is in the hou-óuse' she could be quite funny with her fast remarks. Quickly I crumpled the note and shoved it in my pocket. Everyone was surprised when an unfamiliar voice cut through the silence.

"One of you wannabes must be related to the principal for people to go along with this silence crap. What is this? High school musical? Who is the extremely pretty girl that should be harassed according to the script?" Chuckles and soft laughter rang around the room mixed with soft gasps.
Much to my surprise the junior that had dropped me a note stood up, fighting the hands that tried to drag her back into her seat. She had a huge grin on her face.
"You?" Ryker asked with a smirk.
"Nope, maybe after today I will be but today they are going for her."
She said boldly pointing at me.
"Well I'll give you my number, anyone ever hassles you after today, you call me. I'll fix them up for you... somewhere where it won't disrupt the school." He said it so coldly, so matter of factly, that I'm sure everyone felt the truth of his promise. He walked over, put his tray down and stood by her table holding out his hand with one word 'phone'. She handed it over and he typed something into it before handing it back.
