Asami's P.O.V.

"Toza!" I shouted as I entered the gym. Nobody was in the reception so I decided to head straight to my training room. Seriously, where does he disappear when I need him the most?

"I'm afraid he's not here." The stranger answered instead and turned around. I immediately recognized her face back from yesterday. Like my day wasn't shitty enough from the start, I had to meet her here.

"You..." I began but she interrupted.

"Listen, I'm so sorry about what happened yesterday." Yeah, right. I rolled my eyes, grabbing a strip of cloth from one of the shelves nearby.

"Listen, don't make things worse than it already is." I scoffed, wrapping the strip of cloth around my wrist. She was obviously messing with me. How could she not recognize Mako Sann?!

"You are doing it wrong." She pointed at my wrist. I stared at her in fury before taking a deep breath and returning back to wrapping.

"I've been doing this since I was six...so if you don't mind." I tried my best to hide the fact that I was getting annoyed by each second passing and would've beaten the confidence out of her with pleasure and instead chose to stay calm. I couldn't have wasted my time freaking out over Mako's one night stands... She wasn't worth it.

"I don't question your technique but I think it can still be improved." The girl smiled and got closer to me, grabbing the cloth. Something about her smile seemed off. It wasn't like those fake ones I was usually greeted with... It felt more genuine. I looked down at my wrist while she was rolling the cloth over it. "You are his wife, aren't you?" She suddenly asked. I looked at her only to find that she was already staring at me. But she wasn't smiling anymore.

"He is my boyfriend." I sighed, looking away. I couldn't believe how pathetic I was about to sound.

"You must really hate me by now... And you have no reason not to." She whispered, rubbing her neck. "I had no idea he had a girlfriend. I am truly sorry."

"Apparently you knew him well enough to follow him to my..." I stopped and took a deep breath before continuing. "But really, it's okay. As long as it stays between you two." I noticed her cheeks getting red. As did her whole face.

"How can you stay with a person who cheats on you?" She moved away, staring at me in disbelief. "And what's even worse... You are aware of it and you are okay with it?!"

"It's complicated..." I replied and added before she could say anything else. "And it's none of your concern."

"You're right. I'm sorry..." She was done talking and turned around to face the shelves full of sparring gear. I let out a sigh and looked down at my hands. The wraps have never looked better and I wasn't sure whether I should've thanked her or not... Probably not.

"How's our winner?" I heard Toza's voice seconds before he entered the room himself. "Oh... Asami, I wasn't aware you were coming again..." He looked at me, seeming a bit nervous and then stared back at her. "As I can see you've already met our champion Korra." Korra rubbed her neck and smiled widely, avoiding my glance.

"I'm not thaaat strong." She mumbled, seemingly blushing.

"Of course, you are! You've beaten the life out of that... Of that dummy over there." He continued, pointing at one of the exercising tools in the corner of the room. "I'm gonna find another room for you, Korra." Korra shrugged and picked up a blue towel from the floor.

"Umm... Korra." I whispered. She stopped midway and looked back at me confused. I couldn't explain why, but I didn't want her to leave. Why did I have to say anything at all? "Would you like to spar with me?" Somehow I struggled making myself clear and wasn't sure that Korra heard what I said... I hope, she didn't.

"Of course, if that's what you want." She replied, her eyes litting up. I've felt sudden relief hearing her answer. What was I trying to prove to her? Or to myself?

"In that case, I'll just leave you two alone." Toza said and left the room.

"I won't go easy on you." Korra smirked playfully, showing almost all of her perfect white teeth.

Korra took her dark grey hoodie off, being left with black sports bra only.

"I promise that won't be necessary." I replied quickly, almost immediately, but deep down I knew, I wasn't going to win this one.
