Jonathan's P. O. V
I shine my flashlight around the room. The light stops on a manmade large cage. Its human size. Inside the cage are about a thousand black crows. I look for Sean's skeleton. It isn't that hard to find considering the only thing in this room that's large is the cage. Its leaning against the wall. I walk towards it and inspect it. I find perfect holes in both of his arms, his chest, lower torso, legs, and forehead. They pecked him to death. Their beaks are sharp enough to peck through skin. I walk over to the cage and find a metal door. I look inside the cage. The crows are just sitting there. They're not even looking at me or even making a sound. I walk to the middle of the cage. They still don't move. I stare at them. I make eye contact with one of them and that's when it happens. All of the birds fly at me. The sound of their flapping wings are so much louder when there's more of them. I close my eyes so they can't get to them. I can feel their beaks pierce through my skin on my arms. The sound of them ripping my clothes to get to my skin. I want so badly to swat my arms at them or cover my face. But doing so would mean that I'm not ready to face my fear. Doing so would mean that we would be stuck on this island. I wonder if that's what happened to Emily and her friends. If one of them wasn't ready to face his or her fear, was the consequence to die?. Their beaks tear through the clothing on my arms. I can hear all the rips and tears their making. I open my eyes but its like I'm in a swarm of blackness. There's so many flying in front of my face that feathers brush off my face then disappear like they weren't even there at all. I resist the urge to jump up and down and swing my arms like crazy to drive them off. I sneak a peak down at my right arm and see a tiny trickle of blood pouring down my arm. I shut my eyes tight again so that the only blackness I see is the one I'm making. The crows are flying in the cage so hard its making the cage shake. I can feel the metal tremble beneath my feet. Their caws! caws! caws! get louder. I can feel five beaks pecking at my left arm. I grit my teeth. I am not going to scream. One of the crows pecks at the back of my knees making me fall down. Their caws get louder and louder. The beat of their wings sounds like people banging on drums every five seconds. Bang!  12345, Bang! 12345, Bang! 12345. The noise is so loud, their beaks are so sharp its almost like their made from broken glass. I close my eyes and keep on repeating, bang! 12345, bang! 12345 in my head to distract me and its working. I close my eyes and keep on repeating in my head. I don't hear any wings flapping or any sounds of the crows crowing. I tentatively open my eyes to find the cage and the birds gone. I get up off the floor and look to where I found Sean's remains. Their gone too. I walk to the door, open it and step out into the hallway. I say, "I found Sean's remains. Who's up next?". Opal says," I am. Whose remains do I have?". Words appear on the door - Lucas Jacques Michaelson. Opal nods and says, " An hour. Only an hour". He steps towards the door, opens it and walks into the dark room. The door slams shut behind him with a final click!.
