We've walked so far into the woods, I'm surprised my feet haven't fallen off. Opal has been spouting off facts nonstop until we all shouted shut up. While we're walking, leaves crunch underneath our wet shoes. Making a tiny squish, squish sound. I'm afraid we're going to die of hypothermia. We left the beach in search of clean water. So far our search has been in vain. I can see everyone shivering from the cold clothes. I can feel my own shoulders shaking. We need to find shelter and soon. Almost everyone has been getting caught in the tree branches. I heard somewhere that people can die without drinking water or eating food. I really hope that doesn't happen to us. That people are searching for us. My toes feel numb. I'm about to suggest that we all take a break when I hear it. Water...I hear rushing water, the kind from a river or a waterfall. I whisper it at first," water, I hear water". Then I say it louder," water. you guys, I hear water!". Without waiting for them to speak, I rush off, running further into the woods.  Water, please God, don't let me be hearing things. I can hear the others shouting my name, telling me to come back. But it's been a day without anything to drink. The sound is getting louder, which means I'm getting closer. The bad thing is, that I'm so focused on getting to the water that I'm not paying attention to where I'm going. One minute I'm running over leaves, branches and twigs the next my left foot gets caught onto something and I go tumbling down the hill. I can hear the others screaming my name. I'm screaming also. I crash through bushes and roll through broken branches. I can feel them piercing my skin. Finally I tumble out of the bushes and fall straight into a river. Splash!
