Don't Leave Me {Rowen}

Four

I woke up the next day to my alarm going off. I reach my hand over to my phone and shut it off. I got up and did what I usually do before school. Getting dressed, brushing my teeth, ect. I walked by my brothers room to say goodbye before leaving.

"Oh.. I see." He was on the phone.

"Yes. Thank you for letting me know." He sounded a little shaken up. I dismissed it and went up to him.

"I'm heading off to school now." I started to walk but he grabbed my shirt. He was looking down. Tears started to come down his face.

"Wendy.. wait." His words trembling. I was really worried.

"What's wrong?!"

"It's our p-parents... I guess there is no easy way to say this so... basically... they died."

I dropped my book bag. They died. Those words kept repeating in my head. I couldn't believe. They were gone.

Tears started to pour out . I ran to my brothers side and hugged him. He hugged me back. Together, we were crying. We couldn't stop. I finally pulled away to asked:

"How?"

"They were driving back and there was the drunk going the wrong way and.." He couldn't finish. He started to cry some more.

When the crying died down, he said to me:

"I think it would be best if you stayed home for the next few days."

"O-ok." I got up and went to my room. I got out of my clothes and got into my pjs. I went on my bed taking of my contacts and taking my ponytail out. I just curled up into a ball and pulled the covers over my body.

For a while, I just sat there with my thoughts.

My parents... How can they be dead? They can't. It's impossible. What if this is just a prank?! Another cruel prank by that kid! Yeah! No. Stupid, Stupid, STUPID! There gone. They really are. There went coming back. Why did they leave me so soon?

I went to scratch my cheek but when I touched my cheek, I felt something went. It was my tears. I was still crying.

Why do bad things happen to me?
