Six

I woke up the next day, got ready for school, and left. When I arrived, I looked around to find Wendy, but I couldn't. I looked all around for her.

-Time skip to Lunch-

"Gray, have you seen Wendy?"

"Nah. She might be mad at you for ditching her." He said while eating his sandwich.

"I didn't ditch her! I told her I couldn't make it, that's all." My voice got lower on the second part.

"Dude, she's probably pissed for making her wait for nothing."

"Well, I sent her a text. Take a Look:" I pulled out my phone and went to me text messages with Wendy.

To: Girlfriend

Can I have a rain check? I was grounded for a month.

"See? I told you I sent her a text." I showed him my phone. "She can't possibly be mad."

"Uh Dude? Check again." I flipped my phone around to see what he was talking about.

To: Girlfriend

Error 4078: Message Not Sent. Connect to WiFi or turn off Airplane mode in Settings.

My heart sank. I stood up and slammed my hand on the table.

"What do you mean it didn't send?!" I got everyone in the cafeterias attention.

"Bro, calm down.."

"How can I calm down, Gray?! It didn't send! She is so pissed off!"

"It's not the end off the world.. Just tell her everything when she gets back from school."

"Yeah.. Ok.." I sighed. I sat back down and continued to eat my lunch, wondering if Wendy was mad.

The next day, I did the same thing, and Wendy still wasn't at school. I asked around, and everyone said they hated her or just went on to flirt with me. This continued until next week on Monday.

"Wendy, can we talk?" I went up to her locker but she just ignored me and walked away.

When we both got to first period, Girldarts said something.

"Welcome back to another week of learning. First of all, let's welcome back Wendy. She was out all off last week for reasons she would like to keep to herself." Is that reason me? Was she so sad that she couldn't even bring herself too see me? I feel really guilty now...

*RING*

"Class dismissed!" Every one got up and out of their seats so quickly except for one person: Wendy. 

I went over to her.

"Wendy, please." She just ignored me and left as quickly as she could.

I tried running after her but it was too late. She had already disappeared in the crowd of students going to class.

I sighed, not knowing if I would ever talk to Wendy again. This thought made me almost cry, but I kept it locked away for another day.

-Timeskip to End of Day-

Finally, it was the end of the day. I was about to go home until I saw Wendy walking in the empty hallways.

This is my chance, I thought. So I followed her until I could find the perfect moment to talk to her.

Right as I was about to jump out and confront her, she walked into the auditorium. Not caring why, I followed.

"Ahh, welcome! Welcome! To the Drama club!"

Drama Club?

"Please, sit anywhere." I looked around to see where Wendy went, but I couldn't find her. However, I did find Gray. He had an empty seat next to his. I went over at sat down.

"Why are you here?!" I yelled in a whisper.

"Romeo?! Cool! You like acting too." He started to smile.

"No. Wendy's here." He rolled his eyes. His smile went away.

"Oh."

"Alrighty class.., So today, since it's our first meet, we will just go over the basics. Two of you will demonstrate some emotions through sene. Any volunteers?"

Only a few people raised their hands, but I recognized one.

"Ahh yes, Wendy Marvell. Come up on stage!"

"Oh no, I was ju-"

"Nonsense! Come up!" She sighed before getting up but she walked up on stage. I immediately raised my hand.

"Anyon- Oh. Yes, you. Next to Gray. It's always lovely to see new faces! Come down here!"

"Lucky.." Gray muttered. I kept my eyes on Wendy. When she finally recognized me, her jaw opened. When she was done being shocked, she just gave me a 'what-are-you-doing-here-you-piece-of-burned-lasagna' glare.

I gulped. But... this was my chance to talk to her. This time, she had to look at me. Listen to me. And that's what will happen.
