The next morning, you woke to see a pair of blue eyes staring down at you. You screamed and put your hands up, pushing the person away from your face.

Bill staggered back, holding his nose. "Ouch! That hurt!"

"What the hell are you doing?!"

"You're really jumpy, you know that?"

"That's two times now you've woken me up by coming in my room!"

"Maybe you should lock your door, then."

"You came in through my window the first time!" You yelled.

"Yeesh, relax—" Bill stopped, realizing what he said. "I mean... Calm down? I know you don't like that word."

You squinted your eyes slightly, trying to figure out what he was up to. "You want something."

"Just to talk. You said we could yesterday, remember?"

You felt yourself frown. "That's it?"

"Yeah. Believe it or not, I like talking to you, Kid. You're an interesting individual." He smiled. "We can talk about anything you want! Except, just this once I cant tell you the secrets of the universe."

"We're gonna wait. Just until Dipper and Mabel get here."

"Pine Tree and Shooting Star?" Bill exclaimed. "They hate me!"

"Well, it's understandable, considering you tried to kill them on multiple occasions. We need to figure out what we're gonna do with you."

"I can just move in with you." He suggested.

"No, you can't."

"Is it because of that boy?" He narrowed his eyes.

"Monty?"

Bill grimaced.

"It's not because of Monty. It's because you're a manipulative dream demon who likes to tell lies to get what he wants. I have no way of making sure you're telling the truth. I don't know if this is part of another one of your schemes. I can't trust you."

"That's rude."

"What do you expect? For me to just welcome you with open arms after everything?"

"Yes! Why not?"

You scoffed. "Because you made me think that Ford Pines was a bad guy. You made me think that he was the person I should be watching out for, when the whole time it was you. You lied to me and said that he was trying to destroy everything, when in reality, you were. Not to mention the fact that you pretended to care for me just so I'd trust you even more."

Bill was quiet for a moment. "I thought I made it pretty clear that I didn't pretend to care for you."

It was your turn to be quiet. Finally, you regained your nerve. "That doesn't change anything. I want to help you, okay? But it's not for reasons you may think. It's just so I have a clear head. Nothing else."

A long silence passed until Bill sat down at the edge of your bed. He trailed his fingers over the comforter, not meeting your eyes. "By the by," He said softly. "This Monty wouldn't happen to be your boyfriend, would he?"

You took a deep breath. "It's none of your concern, but he's not."

There was a loud sound disrupting the very uncomfortable silence between you two. You looked at Bill with wide eyes.

"What was that?!" Bill sounded horrified.

You had to try hard to keep yourself from bursting out laughing. "When was the last time you ate?"
