"(Y/N), hurry up!" Monty called. "We're gonna be late."
You hurried around your room frantically, throwing around everything. "I can't find it!"
He poked his head in the door. "Find what?"
"My other shoe!" You paced back and forth, one heel on your foot, and the other foot, bare. "It was just right there."
Monty looked on the other side of your bed and found it in a matter of seconds. You snatched it from him and slipped it on, hurrying down the stairs as quickly as possible. You were almost to the bottom step when you remembered there was a third person living with you.
"Bill! Come on we have to go." You yelled up the stairs.
"I don't want to go." He said, coming downstairs, still buttoning up his shirt. "Weddings are stupid. Either their love will die, or they will. It just depends on which one comes first."
Once he got close enough, you grabbed is wrist and pulled him down the stairs. "Be nice. It's a celebration of their love—"
"Which won't last forever."
"Don't say stuff like that." You scolded. "Soos and Melody are very happy together and madly in love and you can't ever convince me otherwise."
Bill helped you walk down the steps outside of your house, and then assisted you into getting in the truck. After the two of you were in the car and buckled up, Monty came running out of the house, slipping on his jacket.

You had promised yourself you weren't going to cry, which was a promise that you broke as soon as you saw the expression on Soos' face. When Melody walked through the doors in her beautiful wedding dress, his face lit up. And then when he cried, you cried.
By the end of the ceremony, you were clutching Monty's arm and nearly sobbing.
"Hey, kid." Bill whispered. "What's the matter with you? You got an eyelash in your eye, or something?"
You shook your head and wiped away the tears. "No. It's just he's so happy and she's so happy..." You only made more tears fall.
During the reception, you congratulated Soos and Melody and hugged them both multiple times before you finally had to excuse yourself. You went into the bathroom to see that your eyes were red. You were thankful you put on waterproof mascara so it wasn't running down your face.
You tried your best to recompose yourself, and then you went back to the reception area. You spent a good amount of time mingling and meeting a whole bunch of new people, and also talking with Wendy and the others. You had to admit that seeing Lee in a fancy outfit was pretty much the weirdest thing that had ever happened to you. It wasn't long after that when you wanted cake.
You grabbed a slice of cake and sat down at a table, poking at it with your fork. In your other hand, you were on your phone, texting your friends back home and updating them on the road trip endeavors so far. Of course, you left out the part about the demon ex boyfriend.
"You look so sad." Monty said as he sat next to you. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine. I just got done crying because I'm so happy for my best friend that just got married." You looked behind him, half expecting the familiar blonde to be behind him. "Hey, where's Bill?"
"I don't know, why?"
You shrugged, scraping the icing off of the cake. "Just wondering."
Monty sipped on his drink, his eyes skimming around the room. He was about to speak, but Mabel came running up to the table before his words could come out.
