"You've avoided punishment for far too long."

You were, to say the least, very surprised. You could feel your heart beating in your chest as you looked between Bill and your mother, and then to the very large guards beside her.

Of course, the words "execution site" and "avoided punishment" caught you off guard. You had thought him being stripped of his powers and plopped in the middle of Gravity Falls was his punishment. Now that it was becoming evermore apparent that wasn't the case, you had a lot of questions, and a lot of feelings you were trying your best not to act on.

Oh yes, you were angry. Because if it meant that he wasn't out there on purpose, it meant he came with intentions. It was more than likely that they were bad intentions to top it off.

And to think you wanted to help him!

"Listen here, Ice Queen." Bill said from the other side of the room. "I can't just leave, yet. There's something I need to do first."

Your mother scoffed. "You think you have a say? How idiotic of you." She composed herself and raised her chin. "You listen to me, you no depth perception having ignoramus. For your crimes against the royal family, you are to be sentenced to death."

"I've already told you. I'm not going anywhere."

Your mother narrowed her eyes. "Do not make me say it again. Seize him."

The guards started towards Bill and roughly grabbed his arms.

You finally worked up the courage to speak your mind. The questions racing around in your head found their way to your mouth, and you suddenly blurted, "Okay, what the hell is going on?!"

Everyone looked at you. It was like they were just realizing you were there. Your mother looked back to Bill with an accusatory glint in her eye.

"Why are you sharing the same living space with my daughter?"

"She let me stay here." He answered. He sounded very agitated.

"What?" Your mother looked back at you. "Is this true?"

You tried to come up with something intelligent sounding, but you only managed: "Uhm..." You shook your head and pointed an accusatory finger at Bill. "He told me you put him here and took away his powers, so I couldn't just let him roam the streets and starve! Plus we weren't even sure if he was telling the truth so I didn't want him wandering around while he tried to destroy the town again. I was trying to protect people."

"Did the thought of protecting yourself ever cross your mind?" She shook her head, the way you always imagined a disappointed mother would. "Well, at least your intuition was correct."

You blinked. When you started speak, you were cut off.

"Hey, Ice Queen." Bill started. "I'd appreciate it if you didn't mention—"

"Shut it, you three sided fool!" Your mother demanded.

"My intuition was correct?" You looked at your mom. "What do you mean?"

She turned to you. "I mean, Dear, that he was, in fact lying."

Your eyes darted over to Bill, who found something on the floor to be very interesting at the moment. He would not meet your eyes.

"I'd never put him here of all places. Especially knowing you were here. I wouldn't ever put you in that situation. He could harm you." She looked back at him. "And stripping him of his powers is something I couldn't do even if I tried. I mean, I'm sure I could do it, but it would take years of studying."
