Chapter 5 - Parade with the First Bloods

After Janne finally changed her clothes, together with Reiji they exit the castle. Right now, she only focusing herself to find the rose. She suspected something bad will happened to her if she did not get her blood back. She could only hoped no one have not yet found the rose.

"Well then, shall we search together then?" Reiji suggested.

"Yeah" She answered and Reiji reached out his hand to her, confusing Janne.

"Hold my hand. If you get lost, it troubled me later. With us holding hands, you do not have to get scared of got snatched by other vampires. Don't worry, I won't let anything happened to you" Reiji stated. In her eyes, Reiji looked very cool to her. He might be act like a gentleman every time, but he was also very strict. She still remembered his confession a year ago. That time, he was not like his coercive brother-Shuu and understood that Janne already had someone she loved. 

But...

Maybe at that time because he found out that the person she loved, was Ruki. If he knew Janne was in love with Shuu, she thought Reiji will act just like the current Shuu.

"Janne-san?" Reiji called, breaking her thought.

"Oh, sorry. Um, well then...If you don't mind" She nervously hold his hands. In her mind, she did not feel anything towards him. Not with Ayato and Shuu, she only felt a thump in her heart whenever she was with Ruki. Both of them then started to walked together. Same as Ruki, Reiji also was protecting her. He realized the vampires were looking at her. They also could heard some of them were still looking for the rose and looks like no one have found it yet.

"Are? What are you two doing holding hands like a couple? Are ya cheating on your boyfriend, Queen?" Someone asked very rudely. Janne aware the owner of that rude voice. She looked back and found...

"Shin-kun. Carla-san"

"Yoo! You're going out with him now? Why don't ya pick me?" Shin jokingly asked.

"It's not like that!" Janne defended herself.

"What kind of stupid question is that? Well, what are you two doing here?" Reiji asked.

"Isn't it obvious? We're looking for that rose. Maybe we can obtain our little Queen if we found it first" Shin said. He always said that, Janne sometimes couldn't understand him whether he was joking, or he was serious.

"It'll be a trouble to us if her blood rotten and died. Her blood's quality is very rare and also..." Carla looked at Janne. "We still have a debt to you. So, I will find the rose for you as the gratitude for what you already did to us"

"Carla-san..." In her mind, she did not need them do anything to her. She only gave her power so they could live, not for them to paid something to her. She did it because of her own will.

"Well then, if you'll excuse us. Good luck finding the rose, but I will found it first" Reiji stated and pulled Janne to his side. 

"Tch! What a bother. Hm?" Shin looked towards the back of Reiji and Janne. "Is that..? Oh! Is that the rose?!" Shin shouted rather loud causing Reiji and Janne were looking at the direction where suddenly... Shin pulled Janne to his side.

"Sh--Shin-kun..?"

"Hehe~ Bye then!" Shin parted with Reiji and ran away together with Carla.

"Hey! Stop right there!" Reiji shouted but unfortunately, his shouting was useless as Carla, Shin and Janne were nowhere to be seen.

It didn't take long for them to be far away from Reiji. "Fiuh~ Mission accomplished!" Shin said.

"Hey, you don't have to do that you know?" Janne said.
