Chapter 7 - Parade with Kou & Subaru

"Kou-kun! Where are we going exactly?"Janne asked as Kou keep pulling her. It's been quiet time since they parted their way with Yuma and Azusa, but Kou haven't shown any sign on where he wanted to bring her. She did not want to make Ruki-kun to wait for her. But, she was also wanted to find the rose as soon as possible. In her mind, she probably don't have much time left. It seems the parade will be over soon and probably...will be the end of her as well.

"Here we are" Kou said. They finally stopped their walking as Janne looked behind him. There were couples dancing, there were many of them. Kou turned around to Janne and reached out his hand to her, confusing her.

"Um..?"

"Can I have the honor to dance with you, Janne?" Kou asked gently. His tone was very much a gentleman-like. She was like got invited by a stranger as her face became red of his invitation.

"Um, but... I can't dance. I'm afraid that I will...stepped on your feet" Janne said.

"Ah, don't worry pyon-chan. I'll lead you. Just this once, before I returned you to Ruki-kun" Kou begged again. He wasn't forcing her, he just requesting. It's not like Janne did not want it.

"O-Okay, then" Janne shyly reached his hand, causing Kou smiled happily.

"Well then, shall we my lady?" Kou then escorted her to the dance floor. As usual, the couples and other vampires were looking at them-to Janne. Kou wrapped his arm around her waist, protecting her. When they reached the position, Kou helped Janne adjusted their dancing position. While Janne put her right arm on his chest, Kou wrapped his right arm around her waist.

Janne could heard the music started to change, hinting another dance will began. She felt...anxious because she was afraid to made Kou looked bad. Kou aware about her anxiety and pulled her closer, surprising her.

"Don't worry, Janne. You won't hurt me" Kou assured her and as the music began, Kou began to lead Janne as well. She wasn't expecting it. She knew Kou was working as an idol and he loved to dance too. His lead was very good as he was really helping her with the dance. Janne knew she made some mistakes, but Kou was easily to hide it. She maybe not dancing with Ruki, but she was enjoying the dance with Kou.

When the music already end, all the people there were giving them applause. Some of them complimented them on how perfect their dance was. Kou immediately escorted Janne out from the crowds as he knew what will happened when people started to gathered, especially around Janne. 

"Fiuh~ That was so fun! Thanks, pyon-chan! Thanks  for letting me to dance with you. I can make this as my special memory" Kou stated. She was not sure, but Janne didn't like the sound of it. He made it like they will never met again.

"Don't say that. It's like...we're gonna be separated. I won't leave you guys, and... Kou-kun too won't leave me too, right?" Janne requested as her face became sad.

"Pyon-chan..." Janne never liked separation. It reminds her of him. She did not want to experienced that again. To Janne, his betrayal at that time was enough to made her trauma so she did not want to face that kind of trouble again. When she was busy with her mind, Kou suddenly touched her cheek. "I'm sorry, pyon-chan. Did I make you sad? Is something happened before?" Kou asked.

"...Well, it's in the past. After I met you guys, few years later-I encountered this...vampire. He was so nice and kind to me. Even protecting me. I might be only a twelve year old brat, but... If I recalled back those memories, I think I already in love with him" Janne stated. She couldn't denied it anymore. Janne maybe just realized it, but before she came to love Aruto-she was already in love...with him.
