Chapter 15 - Paradise Lost

"Yeah, I know. Don't worry about me. Jinny is here with me" She could heard Kino's voice. It looks like he was talking with someone. "Haha, I won't I won't. Am I really that untrustworthy? Don't worry, I have to tell her first about that time" He continued to speak with that person. "Well then, take care, Yuri" He parted with this Yuri and Janne could heard her steps walking away from Kino. He closed the door and walked towards the sleeping Janne. He sat on the side of the bed and gently rubbed her head. "Are you awake, Jinny?" He asked and Janne let out a small groan and slowly opened her heavy eyes. She looked straight at Kino and he smiled gently to her. "Morning, ohime-sama. How's your sleep? Did you have a nice dream?" The moment Janne was fully awake, she immediately moved away from him with a frightened expression on her face.

"Geez, Janne. Are you still scared of me? Get over with it already" Kino said. She looked around her. She was not in her apartment anymore, possibly... "Oh, this is my mansion. Don't worry, we're still in human world. We can't...go back to demon world for now"

"Um, and that person?"

"Hm? Who? Oh, you mean Yuri? She's my servant. She's the one who always doing things for me. She's so easy to accept any kind of orders that I gave her. Well, after all-she's the servant and I'm her master. It's obvious if she's doing things that I asked her to. But, she have to go back now. Besides..." He took some of her hair and leave a kiss on it. "I already have you here. As my future wife, it is your duty to serves me, right?" His statement made Janne felt irritated and harshly, slapped his hand very hard. She could see Kino was very surprised of her action. Maybe he never thought the little Janne that he always knew will be able to reject him, directly. In instant, he felt annoyed.

"Man, now I feel irritated. What's with that attitude? And here I was trying my best to be like the Kino-oniichan that you always knew and that's what I get?!" He said rather loudly, made Janne startled. She never saw that kind of side of Kino. The Kino that she always knew was kind but sometimes can be teasing to her. "Geez~ That's enough. I won't play as the nice guy anymore. No matter what attitude that I show you, you won't accept me. Well then..." He looked at her and suddenly pushing her down.

"Kyaa! Wh--What are you--!"

"This is your punishment, Janne. I don't know you're grow up with no manner at all. Is this what you get when you're going out with that Ruki guy? Sure he didn't teach you some manners, huh?" Hearing him mentioned Ruki to her, causing Janne remembered again about what Ruki already did to her.

Who are you?

Janne still couldn't believe Ruki forgot about her. There's nothing wrong with him before and there's no sign of him became weird or something. But in one night... He completely forgot about Janne, the girl he loved, the girl he considered important, the girl that he promised will never betrayed her. Witnessing of his action, Janne started to doubting him. 

"Hey" He grabbed her face, made Janne to looked at him. "Don't think about him when you're with me. What a naughty girl. How come you're thinking about other man while you have your husband here?" Hearing his words, Janne clearly unable to considered him the Kino-oniichan that she always loved back then. In fact, she hated it. She didn't like how he talk to her. She glanced towards Kino. "Huh? What's with that gaze?"

"...Didn't I tell you before? I'm not your wife"

"Oh, you're not? That's what I remembered about our promise back then"

"That's in the past! I don't...feel the same way as I did back then! I already have someone I love" Janne blurted it out. 

"Hm... Then, how come you're alone on your apartment? If he's really considered you that important, he will never leave you alone while I'm here, right? He considered me as a threat then how you left you unprotected? He's such an idiot if he thought that I will never use any kind of chances. Yesterday, when I saw you alone-I immediately followed you and waited for the right time to take you with me" He explained about yesterday's incident.
