Chapter 16 - The Pain

It's been a week since Janne came to Kino's house. Along her stays there, all Janne do was getting her blood being drink by Kino-continuously. Since he kidnapped her and how Kino thought himself as the victim, he doesn't care anymore her rejection or her reasons. All he could think of was to continue drink Janne's blood to obtained the power he needs. The only thing that mattered to him was he didn't get enough power even if Kino drank her blood. In fact, he doesn't feel anything. 

And now...

As usual, Kino will always drink her blood first before he went to school. As Janne was trapped between the wall and Kino, Kino continued to drink her blood on her neck from her back. The girl could only surrender to his attack. She was like didn't have any power left to overpowered him and just let him do whatever he wants.

When he finally pulled himself from her, Janne could feel her legs has gave up as she fell down to the floor. Kino cleaned the blood from his lips and then helped her up and escorted her to the bed. 

"Just rest" He said but Janne didn't gave him any reaction. Kino then turned himself and headed to the door. When he reached the doorknob, he remembered something that he wanted to ask. "By the way, Janne?" Again, she didn't shown any reaction but Kino knew she was listening to him. "How do you meet Kuga Jin?" And finally, hearing Jin's name came from his mouth causing Janne to looked at him.

"Eh? D-Do you know Jin-kun?" From Kino's speculation, judging on how Janne called Jin with Jin-kun, he knew Janne was very close to him. He recalled the incident when he took Janne from her apartment and then Jin appeared to saved her. 

"Kind of"

"...Jin-kun is my family"

"...Huh?"

"He always by my side since I was thirteen. A year after you left. At first, he wanted to take my soul but then something changed him, he said he betrayed his clan and came to me. Said he want to protect me and always by my side. Since then, he never...leave my side" Even though Kino knew Janne told him the reason, he felt...offended by her words. It was like she implied Jin was better than him because Jin really meant his words to Janne. Not like him. He was the one who made Janne waited for him under the apple tree where they met for the first time but Kino...was the one who never came. 

"I see..." Then again, he thought in his mind-even though Jin and Janne was very close, Kino knew Jin didn't told her everything.

"How do you know him, Kino-kun?" He glanced at her and thought to not tell her how he met Jin. But...in order for Janne to always by his side, he has to tell her.

"You said, you met him after I left you, right? Well, before he met you-he already met me" Kino informed her, rather made her shocked. "I...helped him to killed few of his own race" He could hear Janne gasped because of his information. She knew Jin was very dangerous before he met her, but she never expected Kino will helped him killed his own race. "He told me that he finally found the reason of his life. But...I never expected that he was doing all of that because of you. And maybe you don't know because you're busy with your so-called boyfriend, oh excuse me...I mean your ex-boyfriend, I bet you don't know that...Jin met me because I asked him to destroyed the vampires here-in human world"

"...Eh? N-No, that's impossible! Jin-kun will never do that!"

"Well, but he is. There's no way that he will let you know what kind of dirty work that he's done behind your back. Thanks to him, some of the vampires here already gone. Next...maybe the Sakamaki or Mukami and also the first blood, Tsukinami" He stated coldly. Janne couldn't countered his words as her mind stuck on Jin. She did not know what he was doing because she always stayed at Mukami and because she went to demon world to collect her stolen blood. Which means...
