I've been driving for about an hour now, I'm in downtown Denver now so I guess I can just go walking around. Just something to kill some time, hopefully everyone left by the time I get home.

I walked to the nearest cafe to get myself something to eat since I didn't have breakfast.

I order what I want and sit down at a stool facing outside just thinking.

Why would Adam go so hard to try to get to know me, if he liked me? Why would he kiss Brooklyn?Especially in my house, on my island counter.

That's so disrespectful, but I guess now I know he was trying to play me,like he did every other girl.

Someone tapping me on my shoulder broke me out of my thoughts.

"Elena?" I turn around to see a tan, tall, muscular, brown haired boy standing behind me with wide eyes.

"Yes, do I know you?" I scrunch my eyebrows at him. He seemed so familiar, they looked like the guy that I had my first kiss with when I was 13.

"Nathan..... Nathan Garcia?" I burst out.

"Yep that's me." He grins at me.

"Oh my gosh, I haven't seen you since eighth grade. I thought you moved to New Jersey?" I ask as he takes the seat next to me.

"I did but my mom got transferred back here, so in finishing my senior year here." He explains with a smile and I nod.

"So what are you doing so far from your house?" He takes a sip of his coffee.

"Just wanted to get out of the house, what about you?"

"Oh my sister is shopping across the street for this party that's happening on Friday." He pauses for a moment."It's actually near your house."

I had heard about the party ,but of course I'm not going to go and deal with those animals.

"Yea I heard about it." I try to skip that subject because last time saw me ,I was almost a completely different person. I was fun and wild, just like any normal teenager.

"Are you going?"

"No I'm my into party's like that, I'm more of a stay at home and watch Netflix kinda girl." I give him a sheepish smile.

"That's not the Lena I remember." He chuckles.

"Yeah I've changed a lot in these four in a half years."

"I can tell, so how is brooky?" He looks me directly in my eyes.

"Oh me and her don't hang like that anymore." I give him a fake smile.

"Damn, I thought y'all were best friends since you were in diapers." He shakes his head.

I thought that was the case until freshman year.

"Number 228, your order is ready." A cashier yells.

"Oh that's me." I say getting up from my seat. "I'll catch you at school." I say before I grab my food and leave the cafe.

I began to walk to my car. "Lena!"
I hear a deep voice yell from a distance.

I turn around to see Nathan running towards me. "You forgot this." He said handing me my two dollars change. I couldn't help but smile at him.

This boy still has the same affect to make me smile, after almost five years.

"Thanks." I take the change and continue to my car. I could feel him follow me.

"Lena." He said as we get to my car.

I unlock my door about to get in, but he slams it shut before it even fully opens. "Yes?"
