Just A Nerd?

Chapter 10

Nathan dropped me off about midnight last night, we stayed at the field laughing and joking about old memories as usual.

Today is Saturday and I have work so I'm now clocking in I do my shift. I really hate night shifts more than I hate morning shifts.

I get straight to work and start going to tables and taking there orders. When I see a huge group of people walk through the front door.

The group consisted of Brooklyn with Adams arm wrapped around her waist, Jace, some of Brooklyn's posse and also about four guys with them so about ten people.

Of course they had to be seated at one of the tables in working at. I should have seen it coming.

"Hello welcome to Cafe Sweets, I'm Elena and I will be your waitress for today. I'll give you guys some time to figure out what you want." I greet them while handing each of them a menu.

"Oh so your out slave today." Brooklyn gives me a evil smirk.

I roll my eyes. "Call me when you guys are ready to order." I begin to walk away.

About half way to the kitchen I get stopped by someone tugging my arm. I turn around to see Adam with a sad face.

"Elena I'm really sorry for ignoring you, I just didn't know what to say to you." He pleads.

"That's fine." I say not really caring, why would I care? I have a boyfriend now.

"It's fine?" He reassures me. "So you forgive me?" He looks me in the eyes.

I nod and a look of happiness came across his face. He picked me up into a tight hug. "Good." He said as he puts me down.

"Now that I'm forgiven, will you go on a date with me tomorrow?"

I was shocked at his words, how can he think that not even ten seconds after he apologizes he can ask me on a date. I know I said I was fine but what girl actually means that when they say it? I only said it so he wouldn't bother me.

I shake my head. "I can't." I look at the floor not wanting to see him disappointed.

He moves his hands to cup my chin and pulls my face up to make eye contact with me. "Why?" He stares in my eyes searching for something, anything before I answer.

"I have a boyfriend." I took a long, exaggerated sigh.

He looked at me with a look of disappointment. "How can you have a boyfriend you told me..... Wait is it Nathan?" He urged.

I shook my head 'Yes'. I knew that he was a player and even if I wasn't going out with Nathan I wouldn't have said yes to him because he just wants one thing.

"I'm sorry." I apologize.

He took a long gulp while staring at me. "It's fine, I'll see you on Monday." He huffed before walking out of the restaurant.

As he walked out all of his little crew followed including Brooklyn. When she passed she gave me a cold look before growling something underneath her breath and walked out not breaking her glare at me.

🌪 Adam P.O.V🌪

"That stupid Nathan, is messing up my deal man!" I shout pacing back and forth in my room to Jace.

Everyone else was in my living room, chilling but I had to let out all of my steam.

"Calm down man, what are you talking about." Jace coaxed.

"Nathan is Elena's, new boyfriend and now I can't get with her." I sigh as I punch my pillow.

"I don't even think it's a good idea to do the bet anymore, she's a nice girl man." Jace tries to convince me.
