Just A Nerd?

Chapter 20

I've been siting in the living room with the guys for the past thirty minutes waiting for Nina to finish getting ready.

I was sure to keep my eyes glued to my phone, so that I wouldn't make contact with Adam while he was back in his jerk phase.

Breaking me out of my trance Jace speaks."Does your sister always take this long?" He whines after sighing.

I look up from my phone about to respond when Adam cut in. "How would she know she is a nerd who never leaves her house except for work." He took my words out of my mouth but said it a little more harsh, than how I would have put it.

We all look up at him and shock, Jace rolls his eyes and shakes his head. "You don't have to be a jerk." Jace commented towards Adam.

Adam shrugs his shoulders and looks down at his phone. He is definitely not in a good mood today.

After a minute of complete silence between us all, Adams phone goes off indicating that he had a notification. He quickly got from his seat and entered the kitchen making sure to close the window connected to it.

Not even a minute after Adam got up Jace follows him. God knows what they are going to talk about, probably the newest girl that will be on Adams 'Hit List'.

🌪Adam P.O.V🌪

Elena looked so sexy in her all white outfit tonight. If only I could just have my way with her, everything would be just fine. But I can't let her hurt me like Jelani did.

I know I was being a little harsh toward for the past couple of days to Elena but it was for the best. If I was mean enough to her she won't want to deal with me and I can't get my heart broken. Simple.

After I made my comment about her being a nerd that only works and comes home. I got a text from Jace.

Why are you being such a dick? We need to talk.NOW!

So I quickly got up from my seat and made my way to the kitchen. I knew I wasn't going to hear the end of it but it was for the best for be mean to her.

Don't get me wrong, it was very hard being that mean to her. When all I really wanted to do is feel her small, soft lips on mine again but she doesn't like me in that way. So this will be the only way for me to not get hurt, and I know she will be mad at me now but in the long run she will be happy I did it. It wouldn't cause her all of the heartbreak that is bound to happen if I date her because I know how I am, I can't stay with one girl for more than a week.

      But for her you are willing to change. That stupid voice in the back of my head kept repeating.

Soon after me being in the kitchen Jace joins me and he looked pissed. "What is up with you!" He shouts as lowly as he could but I can still hear his anger.

"First you say you want to cut the deal because you like her, then you become a complete ass to her?" He looks at me as if I'm dumb.

"I know what I'm doing." Is all I say, looking down at my phone.

He snatched my phone from my hand and sets it in his back pocket. Just as I was about to protest he cut me off.

"No you don't, because if you did you wouldn't be an ass right now." He scoffs with his hand clenched to his side.

I don't respond, I just look down knowing that he was right. I knew I was acting like a complete jerk,but that wasn't going to stop me.
