Just A Nerd?

Chapter 17

"These are the times I love having twins." My dad jokes pulling away from our hug.

Nina smiles and walks over to the couch taking a seat.

"Omg I missed you so much!" I screech sitting down on the couch next to Nina.

"I missed you too." He plants a kiss on my cheek before sitting on the opposite couch.

My mom follow suit and sits down right next to my dad, wrapping her arms around him pulling him into a long kiss.

"So I'm guess you guys didn't see each other, while you were gone." Nina speaks causing them to pull apart from each other.

I know a lot of kids don't like seeing there parents kiss but my parents are so loving and affectionate, I am used to it. When I get older and have a partner, I want to be as lovey-dovey as them. No matter how much they are around each other they never get tired of being in there company.

"Yeah, your mom had to stay at Jessica's house while we were there." My dad pouts.

"Well at least we are back, and we won't be leaving for a while." My mom responds.

"Hopefully." He rolls his eyes before looking up at the staircase.

"I can't wait to get in my bed." He sighs.

"Me either." My mom whispers in a flirty tone, drawing on his chest with her finger. Only God knows what they will do tonight and I'm happy there room is on the other side of the house, so I won't be able to hear anything.

"Well that's my cue." I get up from my seat. "See you guys tomorrow, I need to get in the shower then some sleep." I yawn.

"Okay see you in the morning." My mom waves as I send them air kisses.

I make my way up to my room and hop in the shower, to get all of the dirt off of my body. Gym was terrible today, coach saw me slacking and made me do give extra laps after I came in from have that talk with Adam. Well it wasn't even a talk just me trying to get him to speak to me and then he yells at me and walks away.

I turn on the shower head and get it warm before stripping from my clothes from my body. I get in and scrub my body with my vanilla body scrub and wash my hair quickly. After rinsing myself off I get out of the shower and wrap my towel around me and make my way into my room to grab my clothes.

As I close my bathroom door, I look up and see Adam sitting down on my bed smiling at me.

I jump surprised with a little yell. "How did you get in here!"

"I snuck through your window." He said in a hushed tone.

I look at him as if he is crazy. "If my parent see you in here, they will kill us both." I whisper-yell.

"Calm down I locked your door." He rolls his eyes.

I look to my door and see that the lock is turned and my window is wide open. "What are you doing here?" I ask clutching my towel to my body.

"I came to apologize for yelling at you earlier." He tenses up.

"And you couldn't wait until tomorrow?" I ask in a 'are you dumb' tone.

"No." His voice deep and stern, telling me that he wasn't joking.

"I didn't know, you knew how to apologize to people." I say, wanting to take it back as soon as it came out.
