Sendak x reader - Mercy

Shiro, Matt and Pidge's father weren't the only humans captured. Three months since the incident, you were captured on a solo mission. You went AWOL in search for the missing team. For a while, you were wondering how Shiro, your brother, somehow managed to crash a ship after such a successful career. You knew there was a missing part of the puzzle. And on your journey to find that piece the Galra captured you.

You never got to see Shiro, but you saw Matt. This gave you hope and determination to sneak around the ship. Over the months of your capture, you were seen as a shadow that no one could get a hold of. This of course went didn't go unnoticed by a certain someone. Sendak, the high commander had his eye/eyes (depending if you count the fake one) on you and it was focused on you.

...Sometime in your capture...

You were in your cell doing pushups to pass the time. This little habit of yours over time developed your arm strength. For some reason, much to the surprise of other prisoners, you were never taken to the arena. Some aliens thought you were the lucky one while others had their own speculations (Hint, hint). You, however,  didn't mind and shrugged the matter off.

"Prisoner 334" A loud voice growled outside the cell door.

"Company," You commented. You stood up in your cell as the door slammed open.

"I have orders to take to the commander," The Galra soldier declared.

"Am I in trouble (again)?" You asked, innocently. "

Who knows," The soldier jested, "They might actually kick you out the airlock this time." 

You noticed that this soldier was slimmer and younger than the normal guards that patrolled the ship. You also noticed that he didn't cuff your hands behind your back. This was the perfect opportunity. You lashed out a high kick to the face, swinging your body around. With just one hard kick the soldier was out like a light.

"Huh," You scoffed. "I thought you would be easier to knock out," You quickly armed yourself and ran off towards the pods. This was your chance to make a run for it.

Half way through you stopped. Where were the guards? There weren't any patrolling the area and this area was usually heavily guarded in case any prisoners escaped. You suddenly gasped and remembered that this place was also monitored by hidden cameras.

"Dang it," You growled, dashing towards the pods. 

A line of pods waited across the bay just waiting to jump into space. You randomly chose the one in the middle and jumped back in shock. A mighty Galra waited inside the pod. His size and mass mixed with cybernetics intimidated you. Luckily you prepared to fight. You slowly retreated your hand to the blaster you looted off the guard. It was well hidden in your prisoner's cloak and you were more than qualified to use it.

"I come here unarmed and wish to speak with you," The Galra said, standing up, eyes trained towards you.

"The only words you are going to hear from me are 'step aside or I'll kill you with just one pull of a trigger" You growled.

"I have mapped a course on this pod to navigate its way to your home planet. Tonight another prisoner they called 'Champion' escaped and with the forces distracted I can help you run away from this place" the Galra explained, gesturing to the active controls of the pod.

"What do you want in return?" You questioned, expecting a catch to this offer.

"I require nothing" The Galra answered, moving aside for a clear path towards the pod.

"Please (y/n), there isn't much time and I beg you to take this chance and escape" the Galra urged.

"How is this not a trap?!" You asked, hesitantly. Suddenly the Galra's ears pricked up. And with a sudden rush of movement, the Galra injected you with a hidden serum and pushed you into the pod.

"Ah!" You exclaimed.

"Press place your hand in the centre of the screen and the pod will eject!" The Galra commanded. Without a moment's hesitation, you slammed your hand onto the screen and just like the Galra said the pod ejected and you were on your way home.

"Phew," You sighed, sliding down the walls of the pod. Your head started to feel light and woozy. If you hadn't sat down you probably would have swayed into everything. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw a message being played. The same Galra that helped you escaped was on the screen. 

"If you're seeing this (y/n), then it already means you are on your way home. I will keep this message short in case I have injected you with the serum. My name is Sendak and I am one of the high commanders in Lord Zarkon's armada. You're probably wondering why a trusted servant of Lord Zarkon assisted you in your escape. Not many people get a chance to receive mercy and for someone like you my mercy would have been withheld the most out of all the treatments I could give you..." The Galra paused as if unnerved or nervous. 'Maybe he recording in a place where he shouldn't have been,' You thought.

"What I am trying to say is that I chose to give you mercy because... I love you" The Galra finally spat out. You obviously had a more dramatic response. Your jaw was dropped to the ground and your eyes were about to fall out. "You are one of the bravest and most skilled human I have seen in my lifetime. I have watched you all this time and from the very beginning, I pitied you because of how we treated you. I found why you were captured and soon found that you were a relative of the 'Champion.' In a few hours, you will land near your relative's pod and you will forget all that you have seen in the past months of your stay here." You gasped and gripped your right shoulder where Sendak injected you.

"Yes, the serum I used was specifically used to erase your memories from the past few months and will be replaced with other memories. This is goodbye and I hope your life will be made better" With that the video ended and was deleted from the pod's data banks.

Your vision started to blur and within seconds you passed out.

When you arrived Shiro was already being examined. Pidge and Hunk found you soon afterwards and took you to Keith's home where their adventure started... Hope you enjoy your new life with the Paladins!! 

So sorry for putting some Star Wars terms into these one-shots! Every time I come across these situations I always put in a Star Wars term because I don't know what else to call it! >-<
