Kolivan x reader - World of spies part 2

Being able to breathe is a gift that everyone seems to forget when it's taken away. Slowly your conscience had been coming back piece by piece. You finally figured out that you were in a healing tank rather than a pod which was why there was a tube fed toward your mouth, why there were bubbles coming out from in front of you and why every voice you heard was a muffled sound.

The feeling of your arms and legs were slowly coming back. When you first saw your hand responding to your commands a fresh wave of relief swept over you. Inside the tank, you had no sense of time. The healing process seemed slow. Most of the times you fell in and out of conscience until you felt the water slowly emptying out of the tank. Your body was still limp so you rested on the floor of the tank until someone helped you up.

When the mask was lifted off of your head, your hair fell over your eyes. A hand pushed it away to reveal himself. A tall Galra with long white hair and the signs of battle assisted you to your feet. 

"Who are you?" You asked weakly, "What the heck is going on?"

"My name is Kolivan" the Galra answered. "You have been in a healing process for the past nine months."

"Nine months?" You exclaimed. Your body shook in the attempt to move on its own. "It's been that long?" Kolivan swept his arms under your shoulder and knees and carried you to a table and laid you down. From then on, you remembered several injections piercing your skin and then fading out again.

When you awoke again, your body was dry, clothes and stronger. You tightened your fist into a ball. You were stronger now. You sat up with ease and smirked. You were back. But when you jumped off the table, you wobbled and fell on your face like a newborn deer. 

"Legs are the most advanced pieces of technology, the ancients never knew how to recreate them so they created wheels in its place instead" A voice commented. You turned around and saw the same Galra that had helped you up.

"Can you say that in basic?" You asked. You rolled over onto your side and sat up, slowly working yourself up to standing position.

"It will take a while for you to be able to walk like you did before, after experiencing your injuries," the Galra said.

"Okay then, Kolivan right?" You asked. "Where am I and what is going on with the Galran empire?"

"If you are asking why there have been multiple defectors from the Galran empire, then my answer is because we do not believe that the Galran empire should be as it is. You have run into one of our agents, am I correct?" Kolivan asked.

"Maybe, I ran into a defector" you answered.

"Did he carry a symbol like this?" Kolivan asked. He lifted a screen that displayed the image of the Galra you had been running into carrying a blade that glowed a purple symbol on its hilt.

"Yes," you answered.

"Then you have" Kolivan answered.

"Are you a branch of the rebels?" You asked.

"No, we are our own faction. Not even the rebels know of our existence" Kolivan answered.

"That makes sense" you whispered. Kolivan lifted his brow but didn't press into the topic just yet.

"You must be hungry, living off liquid is not something to be envied," Kolivan said.

"Oh, you have no idea" you replied. Kolivan chuckled a little bit and led you through the halls of wherever you were. The entire place seemed to be metallic and focused on the theme of his attire and blade. Everyone you walked past had a mask and the exact same uniform. "Is this a military base?" You asked.

"This is our main base, this is the safest place for our king" Kolivan answered.

"So... What do you call yourselves?" You asked.

"For security reasons, I will not answer that, but I can tell you that we mean you no harm and will not show any hostility until you show any signs that might suggest your intent to destroy us" Kolivan answered.

"Okay..." you replied. You sped your pace up and looked at Kolivan. "But I don't intend to hurt the people that saved me," You said. Kolivan felt a rush of heat and tried to avert your attention someplace else by pointing out where the mess hall was. Your attention was turned to the front where you hurried inside.

When you saw solid food, you could not contain the excitement. You rushed forward and looked at the food that was available. You heard Kolivan laugh when he saw you looking eagerly at the food.

"I suppose that you are hungry," Kolivan said.

"Yes, I am" You admitted. You blushed with embarrassment and looked away.

"In that case, is there anything that appeals to you?" Kolivan asked. You looked at the three choices and pointed to the one in the middle. "You can serve yourself, what you have here is available for you to take," Kolivan said. You were confused with the sudden freedom and cautiously reached out to serve yourself. Kolivan followed you and filled a plate with his own choice, the one on the left.

The two of you spent some time together conversing. You relayed your story. You were a rare species that could mate with another species and recreate the same species you had mated with. This was a rare trait and your DNA was carefully extracted. You didn't tell anyone this, but there was an implant in your body that you had altered to fit your hacking activities. You showed your right arm. Several places were missing and replaced with mechanical parts. Kolivan looked at your arm solemnly and gingerly touched your arm.

"I am sorry this happened to you," Kolivan said.

"Don't be, the Galran Empire may have taken something from me, but for the past year, I've been making sure that they lose something to me after what they had done" You replied.

"You are a very strong person" Kolivan smiled.

At that moment you felt something. It was like a blanket was suddenly pulled over your shoulders. You had never felt like this before. You had a similar feeling of warmth and security with friends, but this was different. It suddenly dawned on you of what an amazing person Kolivan was. His eyes, his character, his smile and his compassion... It was all overwhelming. 

  "Thank you" You replied. Kolivan gently grasped your hand making shivers run up your spine.  

"Are you with us?" Kolivan asked. You were shocked at his question, but your mouth and heart acted before your mind did.

"Always," You answered.

DAAAAAHHHH!!!! I am so sorry this took so long! I've been working on my other stories and projects. I have been struggling against the internet which was just fixed the other day and the storyline for the Hunk x Chubby reader has been such a pain. I've been trying to think of some storyline whilst trying to add more scenarios for my new book, 'Voltron boyfriend scenarios' please check it out, guys! This book is running out of free pages and this will be where we begin our new 'chapter.'
