Keith x military - The Distance Part 1

"What's this part of the castle?" Pidge wondered. She walked through the halls of the Castle of Lions, the taps of her footsteps clapping against the walls. Her eyes crept curiously over the walls, sweeping the layout of the white and cyan hallway. Rover, hovering over Pidge's shoulder, beeped curiously at a dot in the middle of the cyan linings on the wall. "Rover!" Pidge called, "Come look at this!" Rover immediately complied, flying back to Pidge's shoulder. "Check this out, there's some alien language here, think you can translate this for me?" Pidge asked. Rover blinked in response and displayed the message.

CAYDEN'S QUARTERS

"Who's Cayden?" Pidge thought. Rover chirped and whistled. "That's a great idea! Ask Allura!" Pidge exclaimed.

"So if we put Keith here and place this there then what happens to him?" Allura asked.

"Basically Lance will successfully win the bet" Shiro answered.

"Is that a good thing?" Allura asked.

"I don't think Lance winning any bet is a good thing" Keith interjected.

"That is so not true! Me winning anything and everything is always a good thing!" Lance protested.

"Yeah?" Keith growled. "Th-" "Boys! If you two ever want to learn how to get along together, handing cuffing your ankles and wrists in the training hall will be a part of the plan" Shiro stated.

"Yeah, but did we have to be this close together?" Keith whined.

"Would you rather not be handcuffed back to back?" Shiro questioned.

"Second thought, this is fine" Keith sighed.

"Guys guys!" Pidge shouted, running into the control room.

"What is it Pidge?" Allura asked.

"Rover and I found this cool part of the castle. It was locked away with a secret door and we found this inscription with others on the wall. It was so cool!" Pidge exclaimed.

"Really? How come I've never seen it?" Shiro asked.

"Because Rover found it. He found this weird dot on the wall and when he stared at it and it opened another hallway" Pidge answered.

"That area is off-limits!" Allura shouted.

"Princess?" Shiro wondered.

"Pidge, I am sorry, but that area has a secret door with a specific lock for a reason, I don't want you going there ever again" Allura warned.

"What?!" Pidge exclaimed. "But it's a new discovery! A new part of the castle that I've never seen before!"

"It's already been discovered and was kept secret for others to stay away from it!" Allura shouted.

"But" Pidge stuttered.

"No buts! There is no reason why that place should be open again" Allura snapped.

"But Rover said there was a life form in there, alive and breathing" Pidge protested.

"What?" Allura gasped. "Which room? Who's alive?" Allura questioned.

"The label on the room said "Cayden's quarters" Pidge answered.

"Cayden?! That's impossible. She's been dead for years, the doctors said that it would take years for her to heal" Allura sputtered.
