We arrived at the venue and climbed off the bus. Our driver, Matt, helped me with the merch boxes that were half as tall and big as I am. We set up the tent and I began hanging shirts while he laid out a box of CD's and the bad's tip jar that Alan painted to look like a cat. Go figure.
I thanked Matt and he saluted me, going back to the bus. As I folded a few more shirts I looked up to see Alan jogging towards me, smiling and waving. He entered the tent and smiled, kissing my cheek. "How are you?" he asked, watching me fold. "Alan, you just saw me ten minutes ago," I laughed. "Moods can change in ten minutes though!" he said, defending himself. I smiled and rolled my eyes before kissing him and then sitting in the lawn chair behind the table.
Eventually, fans began to enter the venue, running to the tents to grab signing passes and merch before they all sold out. A few girls walked up to the tent with big smiles plastered on their faces. Alan sat in his chair since he didn't have to be at sound check until 5:00, four hours from now. He stood and walked next to me, always happy to meet his fans.
"Hi!" he said, walking around the table to the fans who looked shaken by his presence alone. They each hugged him and have him gifts which genuinely made him happy. He hugged all three girls again, a littl tighter than before, and they turned to me, smiling.
"Can I get 3 signing passes, that shirt, and this bracelet please?" One of the girls asked, smiling. "Sure thing!" I smiled. Alan grabbed the shirt and I handed it to her along with her bracelet and her wristbands for the signing. "Thank you!" They called. "Bye!" Alan yelled. I laughed and continued to sell some things as the day dragged on.
"Oh, hey, I gotta head to stage. I love you," Alan said, kissing me quickly before jogging to the Monster Energy stage which sat directly in front of the tent, meaning I got to see the band perform. Sometimes I wasn't this lucky. A crowd of people had already begun to form and I knew it was going to keep getting bigger.
At 5:00, the guys walked onto the stage, the huge crowd cheering. I smiled, proud of my brother and his best friends. "LET'S HEAR IT PAMONA!" The crowd began to sing along as the guys began O.G. Loko, my favorite song. Aaron didn't sing any of his clean vocals and instead, let the crowd do so. "Meet my dedication, inspiration," I sang to myself.
The song ended and Austin drank some of his Monster before speaking into the microphone. "Our tent is back there! Go buy some shit from April Arteaga!" "Who is also my girlfriend!" Alan chimed in. "And my twin!" Tino shouted. I laughed and waved.
"I think we have a few meet and greet wristbands left, too. How many do we have, April?" I held up 6 fingers and be squinted trying to see. "SIX!" I yelled. They passes the message back to Austin who repeated it into the microphone. "Now I want everyone to scream. This is The Depths." Everyone began jumping and singing along with Austin and I grinned.
Alan was slinging his ginger hair around, muscles flexing with every hard strum of his guitar. Muscles that did the same thing when he was holding himself above me just a few hours ago. I bit my lip as I watched him play. God, it always turned me on. Halfway through the set, a few kids came and grabbed the last few wristbands. One of them smiled at me before asking, "Can I get a picture with you? I mean, sorry if that's weird. It's just, you're Alan Ashby's girlfriend and Tino's sister and you're super beautiful and yeah." he said.
I giggled and nodded, walking around the table for him to put his arm around me. His friend held the camera and at the last second he turned, kissing my cheek. I laughed and hugged him before he waved and thanked me before leaving.
As the boy and his friend left, the boys' set was done so they headed to the tent for their signing. "Who was that?" Alan asked. "A fan who wanted a picture with me. He was nice." I said, smiling. Apparently it pissed Alan off though because he didn't talk to me again throughout the signing. The girls we'd met earlier came and talked to Alan again who seemed a little close for my comfort.
This was probably his way of payback. Why was he acting like this? I turned on my heel and walked to the bus, punching in the code and opening the door before climbing in and heading to the back lounge where the big bed was. I changed into a big shirt and a pair of pajama shorts before crawling under the blankets and checking my phone.
"@erikfalls_: Actually kissed @April_Arteaga on the cheek. She's so fucking beautiful! @AlanAshby is a lucky man! Is this real life?"
I smiled and liked the photo before commenting.
"@April_Arteaga: @erikfalls_ You're too sweet! Thank you for making my day with your compliments! I hope you enjoyed Warped! Come see me again tomorrow for Pamona day 2! xo"
I locked my phone before snuggling under the blankets and forgetting about Alan's asshole intentions.
