Alan~

My head throbbed and I felt soreness everywhere. I opened my eyes, the left one hurting pretty badly, and took in everything. The room was dark, but I could tell I was in a hospital. I looked down to my hand to see a small one holding it, wearing a familiar ring.

I looked up and saw April curled up in a chair, sleeping. Her eyes were puffy and wet tears still settled on her eyelashes. I tried to sit up and hissed in pain. April shot up and looked at me. She let out a sob as she jumped from her chair, pressing her lips to mine.

"I was so scared," she said, pulling away and looking at me. "I'm so sorr-" I was cut off as she kissed me once more and I never wanted her to stop. All I wanted was her lips against mine. She pulled away once more and gave me a small smile. "It's okay, we're okay," she breathed.

April~

They let Alan out of the hospital two days later. He didn't look as bad as the first night, but his eye was still swollen a little. "Are you okay?" I asked as I climbed into the drivers seat. He nodded. "As okay as one can be," he laughed, gesturing to himself.

I smiled and started the car, driving to Tino's who'd been watching Julia. We pulled into the driveway and I climbed out, walking up the steps. Tino appeared almost immediately, Julia in his arms. "I wanna talk to Alan," he said. I nodded and took sleeping Julia, cradling her in my arms as Tino walked out to the car.

Alan climbed out and stood before Tino. "You hurt my sister again," Tino said, crossing his arms. Alan looked at the ground. "Yeah, I did." "And for whatever reason, she still loves you," he said, but I could hear the smile in his voice.

He wrapped Alan in a hug. "I'm glad you're okay, brother." Alan smiled and they pulled away, laughing. I walked forward and Tino kissed Julia's head before engulfing me in a hug as well.

"If you're happy, I'm happy," he whispered in my ear. "I'm happy," I told him as we pulled away. He smiled and I buckled Julia into her car seat, Alan and I both climbing into the car. I waved at my brother who waved back, walking to his house.

We headed home and Alan reached for my hand, intertwining our fingers. I looked at him and he smiled at me before looking out the window. I pulled into the driveway and Alan looked into the rear view mirror to see Julia.

"How did we make something so adorable?" he asked. I shrugged. "I ask myself that every day." We climbed out and Alan got Julia, who finally woke up. We walked inside and Alan sat down on the couch with Julia in his lap.

"Hi, baby," he said, grinning at her. I sat beside him, crossing my legs as he talked to Julia who grinned with her four teeth. "I'm daddy!" he sad, pointing to himself.

"Da," she said. My eyes widened an I looked at Alan who had the same expression. "I'm daddy," he said a little slower. "Daa-deee," she said, grinning. "SHE SAID DADDY! APRIL! APRIL, SHE SAID DADDY! THAT'S ME!" Alan shouted, looking between the two of us, a huge grin painting his face. This only caused Julia to laugh harder while repeating 'daddy'.

I pulled out my phone and Alan looked at Julia very seriously. "Julia!" I said. She looked at me and smiled. Who's that?" I asked, allowing my hand to show in the frame, pointing to Alan. She looked at him and smiled before saying, "Da-dee!" Alan laughed and smiled before pulling her into a hug.

I posted the video to Instagram and Twitter.

Alan smiled and kissed Julia's head before pulling me to him and kissing my lips. I smiled and laid my head on his shoulder, knowing we may not be perfect, but we were happy. And that's what matters.
