Ariana POV

My alarm clock went off and I just threw it against the wall because I didn't want to hear it right now. I was already going through enough. My parents had been gone for a month now and were not planning on coming back anytime soon. My parents are both surgeons who work together and travel together all the time. I know that this is supposed to be good for me, you know, your parents not here with you, you could do whatever you want and blah blah blah. Nope. Not for me. I hate it when my parents leave. I have to order food every single day because I clearly have no idea on how to cook. I have to pay the bills even though it's with their money, it's still confusing.

I got up and took a warm shower. I got out and wore my black skinny jeans with a loose white shirt that had written love me on the back of it. I let my hair loose today because I was too lazy to tie it in a bun. I got out of the house and hopped into my bmw. I made my way to my school and parked my car in the parking lot. I got out of my car and realized that my English essay was due first period and I had not even started it yet. I decided on skipping first period. I was just walking in the school hallways when I got a text from Lily.

Lily: Hey Ariana! Why aren't you in English?? You could have at least told me you weren't coming so I could have skipped with youu! Pls let me know next time

Ariana: Awh sorry babe. I'll make it up to you I swear.

Lily: Did you hear about the new kid???

Ariana: Nope. Who even transfers schools in the middle of November? That's dumb.

Lily: I heard he's hot ;)

Ariana: Ugh, Lily. I am so not in the mood to talk about guys.. ttyl babe. Meet me in the café at lunch, bye.

Lily: Okey Dokey, byee

I slid my phone back into my pocket and went to the library.

Justin POV

I woke up late and got to school extremely late. I decided on sticking in my car until lunch. I was starving, I didn't even have breakfast. I was desperately waiting for lunch and hoping the school café served decent meals unlike Stratford HS.

I woke up from my mini nap in the car when I heard the school's bell ring. I checked my phone. It was 1:00 PM. Time for lunch. I got out of my car and made my way into the café of the school. I noticed a guy, probably my age, picking on a younger student. He was pushing him onto the ground and spitting on him. Even though, I hate talking to people, I can't stop myself when I am angry.

I walked up to the guy making a fool out of the younger student and grabbed his shoulder. He turned around.

"What?" he spat.

I didn't say anything.

"What do you want?"

"Leave the kid alone." I said with a confident voice.

The asshole started laughing. He turned around and looked me in the eyes.

"What are you gonna do if I don't, prick?"

I gritted my teeth and pushed him slightly away so I could kneel down and help the poor kid on the ground. As I was kneeling, I felt a kick in my stomach. I fell to the ground to be kicked a few more times. He stopped kicking me, thinking I was weak now. I proved him wrong. I got up as fast as I could and punched him really hard, hard enough to make him land on the ground. His nose was bleeding. He just looked up at me and before he could get up himself, I grabbed him by his collar and pushed him up against the wall. I looked him in the eyes and spat into his face.

"Never ever do that again... or I will kill you."

He gulped once I let go of him. I made my way to the café doors.

Ariana POV

It was lunch and I was putting my books back into my locker. I met up with Lily and we were making our way to the café. Once we got in, we heard people chanting "fight, fight, fight." I made my way to the front of the crowd to see Jai kicking a guy in the stomach. The guy getting kicked looked familiar. I yelled at Jai to stop but he continued on kicking the poor guy. Once Jai stopped and turned around to face us, the guy on the ground got up and punched Jai to the ground. Jai was speechless. I was speechless. The guy pulled Jai up and pushed him against the wall and said something to him before he left. While he was leaving, he brushed his shoulder up against mine. We had eye contact for a split second before he stormed right out of the café. Now I was certain I had seen this guy somewhere. Wait... This is that hot guy that I saw smoking behind Wal-Mart. The other day, after I had finished my shift at Sushi Taco, which is right beside Wal-Mart, I had decided on taking the long way behind Wal-Mart to get to my car. I then noticed this guy who was kneeled down and smoking. I could tell he didn't like where he was at that moment so I wanted to say hi. But without really saying anything, he left the scene. He left me curious, curious to find out about him. Well, now is my chance to get to know him.
