The New Kid

Chapter 9

Justin POV

Once again, I had been woken up by the sun beaming onto my face, but today it felt different. I sort of enjoyed it. I got up quickly and had flashbacks of last night. What had happened between Ariana and I last night in my room was all a surprise for me. I never knew that I had the courage or experience to kiss a girl like that. I couldn’t hold myself any longer so I leaned in kissed her. She seemed to have enjoyed it because she heated up the kiss for me. I wasn’t planning on making out with her; I just wanted to simply give her a kiss. I think we got a little bit carried away because Ariana started rubbing my thigh and I knew what that meant. I thought it was too early for us to have sex. She had to first break up with Jai, and then I would have had to ask her out. Then maybe, we can get to that stage.

I changed into my grey sweatpants and wore a black t-shirt on top. I brushed my teeth after I had my breakfast and wore my shades as I walked out of the motel. I got into my car and drove to school, not knowing what was awaiting me.

Ariana POV

I was in the parking lot of the school waiting for Jai to drive into school. I was going to breakup with him. I had been thinking throughout the whole night if this was what I wanted and I decided on breaking up with Jai and getting it over it. I loved Justin, especially after that heated kiss we had last night. God, his lips felt amazing on mine.

“Why are you waiting here, Ari?” Lily asked while getting out of her mustang.

“I’m waiting for Jai… But it looks like he’s not planning on coming to school today.” I sighed.

“Oh okay. Let’s go inside babe. Class starts in five minutes.”

“Okay.” I replied.

While I was walking into school, I saw Justin leaning on one of the pillars, smoking a cigarette. He then noticed me and stood upright before flashing me a quick smile. My heart melted. I have never felt this way before, at least not with Jai.

It was already lunch and there was no sign of Jai. I decided to go out and check the smoker’s pit. I walked out of the school and was heading towards the smoker’s pit when I heard Lily. I turned around to see her looking at me and gesturing for me to come after her. I was confused but I sure as hell never saw Lily this serious, so I followed her. We were heading towards the back of the school where most of the druggies would be. I grabbed her arm and pulled her towards me.

“Lily what the fuck are you doing?” I said.

“Sshh, be quiet. We don’t want them to hear.” She whispered.

“Lily, who is them?” I whispered into her ear.

“Ariana, I was looking for Macy because I needed her help for my math assignment, and knowing that she must be getting stoned, I came here. But I ended up seeing Jai…” she whispered into my ear.

“Oh okay. I needed to talk to Jai about something serious, anyways. Let me talk to him.”

Lily and I were walking towards the back of the school when I noticed Jai and Selena making out in Jai’s car. I stopped in my tracks and couldn’t believe it. I shouldn’t be really angry because I made out with Justin before I broke up with Jai and because I really don’t care what Jai does with his life.

“I’m so sorry, Ariana. I wanted you to see them, that why I brought you here.” Lily said quietly.

I nodded and gave her a quick hug. I had to go and break up with him now because it would seem as I caught him cheating on me and he wouldn’t be able to stop me from breaking up with him. I walked up to his car and tapped on the window, staring at them making out like pigs. They both looked up at me, shocked. Jai quickly got out of his car and ran towards me.
