Justin POV

I woke up from my nap and was sweating like a pig. I quickly took off my shirt and wore my black sweater. I changed into my jeans and sat on the side of my bed. Today in last period, Ms. Lake had reminded us that our project was due in two weeks. It was the project that I was partnered up with Ariana for. I have no idea how we are going to finish this project but I for sure cannot get another fail in another class or my dream of graduating from this hell hole isn’t going to be granted.

I got up and decided on going out to eat since the restaurant in the lobby wasn’t open today. I went into my washroom and washed my face. I then realized that my hair was really messy; it wasn’t spiked up like it always is. It looked as if I just got out of bed type messy hair. I just shrugged, I honestly don’t care. I got my car keys and walked out of the motel. I got into my car and drove away.

Since I didn’t know any other place to eat at around here, I decided on going to Taro Sushi. I parked into the parking lot of Taro Sushi and hopped out of my car. I put my hood over my head and walked into the restaurant. To my luck, it was empty. I sat down at a table towards the back of the restaurant and gave my order to the waiter. After the waiter had left, I decided on checking my phone. I went on my Facebook and scrolled through my news feed. As I was looking, I saw that Ariana had been tagged in Jai Brooks photo. I clicked on the photo and looked at it closer. It was Jai and Ariana at the beach with a few other people. Ariana and Lily were holding hands while Jai was acting like a retard. Even though this photo really bothered me, I just closed my phone and slid it into my pocket. I was waiting for my food to come while the restaurant door opened.

Ariana POV

“Let’s go to Taro Sushi!” Jai and his boys yelled.

Lily and I tagged along with Jai and his friends after school today and we ended up at the beach. Don’t get me wrong, I totally hate Jai. But it was all Lily’s fault. She was begging me the whole day today to hang out with Jai and his friends with her after school because apparently she has a crush on one of Jai’s friends. After several more begs from Lily, I finally agreed.

“Okay!” Lily yelled back. Lily and I were walking behind Jai and them. I am not going to lie, I am dying from how hungry I am. Ever since my parents left for their business trip, I haven’t gotten any good food to eat. I have literally been eating take out every single day, unless I go to Lily’s place where her mom actually cooks homemade food.

We all walked into Taro Sushi and we made our way to the cashier. I gave my order to Lily so she could get it for me. I walked over to one of the tables to sit because I was so exhausted. I sat down and was examining the floor when I looked across from me and had noticed someone else sitting at the far back table. Before I could get a better look at who it is, Jai butted in.

“Look who it is, guys.” Jai sneered.

The guy with his hood on that was sitting on the back table then turned around.

It was Justin. I can’t believe I didn’t realize it was him. His hair was down, not the way it usually is. His eyes were baggy; it looked like he just woke up. He was wearing the sweater that I had worn as well. I looked at his table and there was a California roll and fries.

Justin looked up at Jai and then he looked back down at his food. I guess he was trying to ignore Jai.

“Hey asshole!” Jai yelled.

Justin didn’t even move. He just sat there, lifeless, staring down at his food.

“I’m talking to you, you sick fuck!” Jai yelled, once again.

Nothing. No movement. He just sat there, slumped in his chair.

Jai then shrugged and walked away. I thought he was done bothering Justin but I was wrong. He came back with a tray and smacked it on Justin’s head from behind.
