Justin POV

I woke up to the brightness of the sun shining into my face, again. The sun was basically like my alarm. I rolled around in my bed when I had a few flashbacks of Ariana staying over. Then it hit me. I had sneaked in alcohol with me from the kitchen. I then remember drinking them furiously and feeling really sick. But why am I seeing flashbacks of Ariana laying in my bed with me? This was confusing. I guess she was a part of my dream, or something. I got up and washed my face. I had realized that it was 1:30 PM. I was late, I was really late! I thought about skipping last period but then I remembered what Michael had told me. I quickly got dressed but I still smelled like alcohol. I sprayed some cologne on and ran out of my room and into my car. I speeded my way to school, hoping I wouldn’t be caught by the cops. I made it to school just in time for last period. I walked to my last period class and remembered I had Ariana in this class. I quickly found my seat in the back. My head was still killing me; it felt as if rocks were being thrown at my head. Ugh. Half way through the class, the teacher started taking up the homework from last night that I had no clue about. I stared down at my blank sheet of homework and hoped on not getting called to take up a question. To my luck, the teacher called on me first and asked me to answer the first question on the board. I slowly got out of my seat and walked to the front of the class. I didn’t know the answer so I just turned around.

“What’s the matter, Justin?” Mr. Anderson asked.

“I don’t know the answer to this question.”

“Well you better find out because you’re not leaving until you solve that question.” He blabbered.

What a prick, I thought to myself.

“Sir, I do not know how to answer this question, either. If you could just choose somebody else, I would appreciate it.” I said as nice as I can.

“I am sorry to hear that, Justin. But if you don’t even bother to do your homework, then you obviously would not know how to solve the question.” He said holding up my blank homework sheet.

“Sir, I have been here for two days now. I know I need to catch up, and I promise you I wil—

“No more blabbering about what and what not you know. Get out of my class! I heard about the trouble you caused in the café yesterday. I do not want an irresponsible student in my class who just comes here to pass time.” He yelled.

My blood boiled. I did not start the fight yesterday. I just ended it. The asshole that started it was also in this class. Once I spotted him, I gave him a very dirty look.

“Get out now!” the teacher yelled once more.

I couldn’t take this anymore.

“I came here to get my last credit for the twelfth grade. I don’t give a fuck about where these courses will take me in life, all I want is to graduate and leave this mother-fucking horrible school of yours! And yes, I will leave your class, not because you told me to, but because I can’t stand being in the same room with assholes, like yourself!” I yelled. I went back to my seat and picked up my bag. While I was leaving, I noticed Ariana staring at me, giving me a hopeless look. I walked out of the class and into the hallway. I could hear the teacher yelling about how he will get me suspended. Go ahead and try, you prick!

As I got in my car and started the engine, one of the ladies from the office came to my car and tapped on the window. I rolled the window down.

“Can I help you?” I asked her.

“Young man, the principal and Mr. Anderson would like to speak to you right after school.” She said.

I didn’t have any other choice then going and speaking with them because if I don’t sort out this issue with the principal, I am certain I will get suspended, which will result in me trying to find another school to attend which will be A LOT of work. I just sat in my car and waited for the bell to ring.

After 20 minutes, the bell finally rang. I walked out of my car and into the school. Everyone was staring at me. I guess they all heard about what had happened just earlier. I could hear saying negative things about me. I walked into the office and all the people in their looked like they were awaiting my arrival. The lady from earlier walked me to the principal’s office.

I walked into the office and took a seat across the principal. His name was Mr. Breen.

“Justin, I’m guessing you know why you’re here.” Mr. Breen said.

I just laughed and nodded.

“I have heard the whole story of what had happened and I think that Mr. Anderson should not have yelled at you or even start talking about what had happened yesterday in the café. That was none of his business.”

Finally, someone who understands me.

“Sir, you are probably the only person who has the same thoughts on this incident as I do.” I replied.

“I remember when I was your age, I used to do the same things. It’s the life of being a teenager. You can’t take it when teachers or your parents blame you for certain things. I get it man. I really do.”

I smiled and enjoyed the conversation we were having.

“But what you did was still disrespectful, Justin. That’s why I am going to give you a 2 week café cleaning job. You have to come in after school every day and help the lunch ladies clean up the café for 2 weeks. That’s all you have to do.” He said with a smile.

I had no other option then to say yes. So I did.

I walked out of the school and to my car. Once I got to my car, I felt a tug on my arm. I turned around to see Ariana behind me.

“Hey Justin.” She said.

“Hi” I replied.

“Did you get suspended?”

“No, I got 2 weeks of cleaning the café service.”

“Oh okay…”

“Hey I have to ask you something.” I said.

“Sure.”

“Last night, did you drop by again after you left?” I asked her.

I saw her tense up and take her eyes off mine.

“Um- about that. Sorry Justin. It’s just I called you and I asked if I could come and pick up my bag and laptop from your place because I had forgotten it there earlier. I showed up to your place and you were really drunk so I decided to stay with you until you fell asleep.” She said.

“I’m sorry you had to witness that, Ariana.”

“No it’s okay. I didn’t have anything to do anyways. Watching you sleep was a pleasure, Mr. Bieber.” She giggled.

I chuckled.

“I guess I should um- get going…” I said.

She nodded and came in for a hug which I surprisingly didn’t reject this time. I hugged her and sniffed her hair which smelled like heaven. I let go of her and she left.
