The New Kid

Chapter 8

Justin POV

I walked all the way to Taro Sushi to get my car. I got there in 20 minutes and hopped into my sexy range rover. I had just realized that it was 3:00 PM and that both Ariana and I had not gone to school today. Oh crap. I have to go to school and help clean the café. I rushed to school and parked my car. Even though I looked like shit, I had to help clean the café. I didn’t care about people seeing how ugly I looked. I promised Mr. Breen that I would help so I will.

I walked into the school and noticed that the school was empty. I saw Mr. Breen walking out of his office and towards me.

“Hello Justin. You here for your volunteering?” he asked.

I nodded.

“Ok then. You can proceed to the café now. Bye Justin.”

I nodded again and went into the café. I introduced myself to the lunch ladies and got to work. About an hour later, I saw a very pretty girl walk into the café and put her bag down beside mine. She went up to the lunch ladies and introduced herself. Then she came by me and started helping me out.

“I’m Selena.”

“Oh, I’m Justin.”

“Nice to meet you, Justin.”

“You too.”

After we were finished, we both sat down in front of the school and started talking.

“So you live around here?” she asked.

“I just moved here from Canada a week ago. I live at the MM Motel.”

“Oh that’s cool. Wanna go to the beach sometime?”

“I-I um, don’t do beaches.”

“Come on. Everyone likes the beach. Today at 6 we are having a beach party with a couple friends. Why don’t you join us?”

“Ah, I don’t know. We’ll see.”

“Ok then. Make sure to come okay. See you later.” She smiled and left.

I for sure was not going to go. I hate beaches and the water and the sand and everything!

I got into my car and drove home. I was going to take my daily nap but I couldn’t because I had woken up very late today, thanks to Ariana. I was really bored in my room so I decided on going downstairs to see if there was anything I could do. I came into the lobby and saw Michael dealing with some rude customers.

“Listen Sir, I am very sorry to hear that your internet isn’t working in your room but you wanted a room without wifi.”

I started laughing. I decided on just taking a walk outside. I walked out of the hotel and was about to walk towards the road when a car beeped at me.

“Hey Justin!”

I turned around to see Selena and her friends in a Ferrari. I walked towards them.

“Hey Selena. Why are you here?”

“Justin, I am pretty sure I told you about the beach party. Hop in, let’s go!”

“Oh, no I wasn’t going to come anyways.”

“Awh, why Justin? Don’t break my heart.”

“Yeah Justin. Why don’t you go with these lovely young ladies?” Michael said.

I turned around and saw Michael. I shot him a dirty stare. He walked back inside.

“Justin, are you scared of us? We’re not going to eat you! Hahaha!”
