This is a revised and rewritten chapter, the plot has been changed and a lot has changed from what it had been before. I am writing this book on a good note, I am determined to end it the way it should be.STEPHANIE
My stomach growled from hunger, I refused to look or even smell the enticing food which had been left by the end of the bed. I could not believe two days had gone since I had been dragged here- no more like been kidnapped. I was determined though, I had promised myself to leave. I just needed to know how.
I looked towards Matt who had grown comfortable to Mason, they laid cuddled up to each other watching a cartoon on the tablet Mason had brought. To my dismay, I did not want Matt to get use to Mason. Too afraid, he will one day get sick of being a father like he did being my husband and want to abandon Matt.
"Ohh look she can fly." Matt pointed at the screen, I was facing the opposite side so I could not see what they were watching.
Mason chuckled and nodded his head,
"Yes she can, and that dog can pull out a ladder from his car." Mason said, it looked adorable a cute bonding time between the two.But as I silently sat I knew I had to leave, Matt was beginning to like Mason. They had also began to eat together, watch movies together and he also requested Mason to read him to sleep. In a span of two days that all had happened, I internally groaned.
I missed having my son all to myself.
"I want a puppy." Matt groaned loudly, he looked towards me with his puppy eyes. I already knew why he was showing me those eyes, he wanted me to go get him a dog. Had he forgotten that I was going to take him to get a dog before we were kidnapped.
"A puppy. You know Matt when I was young, I also wanted a dog but my parents denied it. What made it even worse was that my mother was allergic to dogs, but one day I went out and as I was sitting a stray puppy walked up to me. It was an adorable German Shepard, I named him Doodle a silly name I know but he had so many patterns on his fur that it was all I could think of. I use to go feed him and play with him everyday, until I became a teen and gave him to the shelter. To this day I go see him." I had never heard this story before, and from the way Mason looked at me he knew that as well. Matt seemed to be so engrossed in the story, a smile on his face listening about Doodle.
"Can I meet him?" Matt asked, I wanted to jump in and yell a no but Mason beat me to it.
"Of course, in fact if you would like we can go see him tomorrow." Mason said, Matt screamed in delight jumping on top of Mason and showering his face with kisses. Mason chuckled, wrapping his arms around Matt."Did you hear that Mummy, I am going to see Doodle tomorrow." Matt said excited, he jumped off Mason and wiggled his tiny body down the bed before running to me. I picked him up and settled him on my lap, a smile appeared on my lips see how happy it made Matt that he was going to meet Doodle.
I did not have the heart to say no.
"Yes I heard, we can grab some snacks for him before we go to meet him tomorrow." I said, and Matt nodded his head rapidly.
"Yes, mummy. Your the best." He yelled, waving his arms in the air before hugging me.
As much as I hated being here, the smile on Matt's face made me want to smile, I could feel my face glowing up."Okay little man, it's time for both you and mummy to eat." Mason said approaching us with a plate filled with food.
"I'm not hungry." I denied but it was the same exact moment my stomach growled, I mentally wanted to punch myself. I felt my cheeks heat up in embarrassment.
"Well your stomach begs to differ." I sighed grabbing the plate from his hand and began to eat whilst Mason fed Matt.Three years ago, this had been my dream. Watching Mason, love Matt. Taking care of him, this had been all that I wanted but he broke me before that could happen. But as I sat and watched it all happen, it made me feel uncomfortable. I had been so use too it being just me and Matt but with him now being in the picture just felt very unsettling.
Knock
I snapped my head towards the open door, where Aidan stood looking a little disturbed. Was Chloe okay?
"Aidan, why do you look like you have been through an accident." I rolled my eyes at Masons humour, Aidan glared at him but walked closer."The Anderson's are down stairs, and when I tell you they are touching everything and bragging about how rich you are." I wanted to laugh at the way Aidan spoke, he generally looked frustrated. But hearing that my family was here, made me scowl. I did not want to be anywhere near them.
When I left from here, I did not bother to keep in contact with them . Not that they even tried to.
"Why are the Anderson's here without informing me regarding there arrival?" Mason asked, I was glad that he had not informed them to come here. But that made me question to why they had come. It had to be a motive.
"Why don't you ask them yourself? You both should go downstairs, I'll take Matt to Chloe." I looked towards my son, before nodding my head. Seeing me nod Matt got down and held the open palms of Aidan, before following him out."This has to be a fucking joke." I whispered, I knew he had heard me but he did not say anything. I followed him out of the room I had been sleeping in, and down the stairs and even though we had not entered the living room I could hear there voices from down the hallway.
I stiffened feeling Mason place his hands on my lower back.
"What are you doing?" I gritted out, Mason just shrugged not saying anything making me want to grab the nearest object and smash it into his head. I walked into the living room watching as it grew silence as they acknowledged my presence.
"MASON." Levon came rushing and wrapping her arms around mason, who pushed her away, she acted as if it did not happen before turning to face me.
"Sister." Ohh, I hated the way she called me her sister, if I could go and push her back inside my mothers Virgina I would without a second thought."What are you all doing here?" Mason asked, his tone had changed no longer how it was with Matt. He held no emotions, and his voice was cold.
"Well we did not know Stephanie was back, we had come here in hopes you would ignore her stupidity and marry Levon. It would secure our alliance." My eyes widened at my mothers words, she wanted Levon to marry my ex husband. What is this a game of parcel parcel."Get out." How I wished I had said that, but it had come from Mason. Shocked was clearly written all over my face. But again, he divorced me for his freedom I am sure he didn't want to get tied to another marriage.
"Excuse me." My mother Kiera said, you could see she was surprised. It was a reaction no one had seen coming not even me.
"You heard me. GET OUT."
