The End

1 1/2 years after the accident

The lady at the front desk smiles at me as I walk past. "Good afternoon Sam. How was you day?" I smile back at her "Pretty good. Any news on how's he's doing?" She shakes her head. "Just waiting for his body to wake back up." I nod. "I brought my guitar again today. He seems to like when I play for him" 

I walk down the hospital halls and approach room number 254. Opening the door I smile when I see Ashley's face. "Hey big bro. How's the dream life?" I sit down in the chair next to the bed. "I brought my guitar again. What would you like to listen to this time?"I pull my guitar out of it's case "How about Hallelujah?." I study his face "Alright,Hallelujah it is" I place my fingers and begin strumming the strings. 

Well, I heard there was a secret chord
That David played and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do ya?
Well it goes like this:
The fourth, the fifth, the minor fall and the major lift

When I finish I sigh. "So Ashley I have some good news. A few things actually" I fiddle with my hands "I got accepted into a Physician's Assistant program. I'll start next month. And I repainted my room. In your house. The mint color was killing me so I painted it baby blue.I painted the ceiling black and put those glow in the dark stars all over it. It looks pretty cool. The guys are working on a few new songs. They are pretty cool. Except Andy isn't as good as you at bass." I laugh and rub my knuckles 

"And one last thing."

I glance down at my hand and smile at the glittering ring. "You might disapprove, but you aint here to say 'no'

 I look down at my hand and smile "Andy proposed to me yesterday. It was super sweet. He asked me at one of his Andy Black shows." I laugh "Yes, it was in front of a huge crowd of people. Yes, I did say yes. We plan on tying the knot next summer." I point my finger at Ashley "You better be up by then you asshole. Or else I WILL leave Andy at the alter" 

I sigh looking at his face. "Well, I have to leave early today. Initiation for my PA program is later today. Kinda don't want to miss it." I stand up and put my guitar back in it's case. 

I lean down and kiss Ashley's forehead. "love you big bro" Turning back to the door I begin to walk out.

 I'm almost out when I hear the bed rustle and a groan. "Sam?"

I turn back to Ashley and smile. I can feel tears pricking at the back of my eyes. 

"It's about time you woke up"

THE END!!! I kinda like this ending :)

I'm sad that this story is over. But hey! I'm going to start a new story!
