Chapter 15

After hanging up I shake Jinxx awake. He groans and rolls over "What?" "They got in accident" He bolts up "Where are they?" "The New York Hospital"

"We need to go now" he says. Nodding I head towards the van and start it. "Hurry up Jinxx!" He clamors out still wrapped in a blanket. I fly down the road going 10 miles over the speed limit. 

A pit of dread and panic grows in the bottom of my stomach. When we get to the hospital I fly out of the van and head towards the front doors. Inside a blond receptionist sits at a sweeping desk. 

I run up to her "Kathryn Adams, Christian Coma, Andy Biersack, Jake Pitts" She looks are me with a confused look. "I'm sorry ma'am. how can I help you?"

A wave of anger flushes over my body "WHERE ARE THEY? THOSE NAMES" I feel JInxx come up behind me and place his hands on my shoulders "Sam calm down." He looks at the receptionist. "Our friends, Kathryn Adams, Christian Coma, Andy Biersack and Jake Pitts are here. Car accident" The receptionist smiles and types into her computer. 

She looks up at me with a flash of pity. "Level 4 left wing. There is a waiting room"

Jinxx nods his thanks while I bolt towards the elevator frantically pushing the 7 button willing it to move faster. Jinxx hugs me "It's going to be all right Sam. I'm sure they are okay"

"How can I?" I snap "For all I know they could be dead"

Finally the elevator stops and the doors open. I run out and head towards the left wing with Jinxx on my heels. I spot Jake sitting in a chair with his hands clasped over his head. "Jake!" I yell. "What Happened"

He looks up and his eyes are bloodshot. "What happened?" I demand again. He takes a shaky breath "It was a car accident. We got hit driver side by a drunk driver" Deeply breathing he says "Andy and CC had broken ribs and I only got a few bumps and bruises." I grab his arm "Ashley and Kat?" He meets my gaze. "They..."

A door slams to our right and cuts him off. Andy and CC come out with a doctor. I rush to them "Kat?" I say with my voice breaking. CC meets my eyes, his are red and puffy from crying "She was sitting behind Ashley on driver side. Ashley is in a coma, but Kat" I feel tears pushing at the back of my eyes "Kitty?" CC shakes his head 

"She didn't make it" He whispers. 

A wail escapes my lips and I feel my legs buckle beneath me. Andy catches me before I hit the floor. Sobs rack through my body. "She's gone" I moan. "Not Kitty, no" I lean into Andy's chest and sob.

My best friend is gone.

So I started crying while writing this chapter.
